5 GB Getting Started (Continued) Hooking Up the System Overview This section describes how to hook up the VIDEO CD player to a TV (with audio/video input jacks) and/or an amplifier. Be sure to turn off the power of each component before making the connections.
6 GB Getting Started z If your TV or VCR has an S video input connector Connect the component via the S VIDEO OUT connector using the S video cable (not supplied). You will get a better picture. S VIDEO IN ç S VIDEO OUT Important Setting the color system switch This player conforms to the NTSC and PAL color systems.
7 GB Getting Started Setting the VOLTAGE SELECTOR Check that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR on the rear panel of the player is set to the local power line voltage. If not, set the selector to the correct position using a screwdriver before connecting the AC power cord to a wall outlet.
Basic Operations 8 GB 1 When using a TV Turn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view the pictures from this player. When using an amplifier Turn on the amplifier and select the CD player position so that you can listen to the sound from this player.

11 GB Enjoying Karaoke z When you don’t use the microphone(s) Unplug the microphone(s), switch the microphone(s) off and turn the MIC 1 and/or MIC 2 LEVEL control to MIN. Reserving the next tracks to play While playing a disc, you can reserve up to 8 tracks to play in any order so that you can enjoy non-stop karaoke play.

13 GB Locating a Scene or Track You Want When using an audio CD In ON SCREEN 1 mode and ON SCREEN 2 mode, the information which appears during the using of an audio CD is the same (except during the conditions explained in “Before you start playing (except for the Program Play mode)” below).

15 GB Locating a Scene or Track You Want Replacing Discs While Playing a Disc You can open the disc tray while playing a disc to check what discs are to be played next and replace discs without interrupting playback of the current disc.
Locating a Scene or Track You Want 16 GB Resuming Playback fr om the Point Y ou Stopped a VIDEO CD (Resume Play) This function is available only when the MODE selector is set to NORMAL or 2 DISC, and the disc is played in Continuous Play mode. The player memorizes the point you stopped a VIDEO CD and you can resume playback from that point.
17 GB Locating a Scene or Track You Want Locating a Specific Scene or T r ack You can quickly locate any scene or track while playing a disc using the = / + (AMS: Automatic Music Sensor) buttons or number buttons.

You can locate the disc or scene you want by observing several still pictures at one time on the TV screen.
