19 Getting Started Step 1: Unpackin g This box co ntains accessories , paddi ng materia ls, and t he server unit. Sin ce the unit is large and h eavy, m ake sure t o work with anothe r pers on, and f ollow the procedu res in thi s docum ent as describe d.
20 d Rem ove th e lo ck st ick . A On the bottom of the unit (the sa me place as step 3) , you shoul d find a lock stic k. B Unlock the lock stick by turning the st ick clockwise 90 degrees and remove it. Store the lock s tick in a safe p lace as you may need it when transporting the unit.
21 Getting Started B Move the u nit to the place of inst allation. Be sure to grasp the handles when moving the unit. Install the unit on a flat su rface in a stable place. h Attach th e glass pan els. A Check the orientation in dicate d on th e glass panels.
22 D Holding t he glas s panel to the s ide, pu sh the lever back to its original position . The panel is locked. Push the lever all t he way throug h till it remain s flush the back panel s urface. E Repeat steps 1 to 4 to attach the other panel. Use the supplied cleaning cloth to wipe the glass surfaces.
23 Getting Started Step 3: Instal ling Tip-Ove r Prevention Without a proper i nstallation, th e server u nit may fa ll over causing an inju ry. It is st rongly r ecomme nded that yo u ancho r the unit t o a solid wa ll or a post with a c ommercially a vailable anti-tip-ov er device.

26 Step 5: Conn ecting to the Networ k Connect t he LAN terminal on the serv er to your Interne t source using an Ethernet cable. See also “Netw ork Settings ” for necessa ry netwo rk setti ngs (p age 121) . The suppl ied LAN cable has a ferri te clamp.
27 Getting Started Step 6: Connecti ng the Power Cord After all of the oth er connectio ns are complete, co nnect the supplied po wer cord to the AC IN terminal of the serv er. Then plug the server and TV power cords into the AC outlet. Step 7: Pre paring the Remote You can co ntrol the server using th e suppli ed remote.
28 Step 8: Making th e Initia l Settings Follow the steps belo w to ma ke the m inimum number o f basi c adjustm ents for using the se rver. These step s are recommende d setup p rocedur es. See “Server Setti ngs” (page 108) to m ake o ther opt iona l settings.
29 Getting Started A message appears notifyi ng that [Standby Mode] in [System Settin gs] was set to [Standard]. The default setting is [ Eco]. • The [Standard] settin g consu mes more power than th e [Eco] settin g. • Setting [Music S erver Setti ngs] to [On] will automatic ally set [Standby M ode] to [St andard].
