44 US Checking the Playing T ime and Remaining T ime Y ou can check the playing time and remaining time of the current title, chapter , or track, and the total playing time or remaining time of the disc. Y ou can also check the D VD/CD/Super Audio CD te xt and MP3 folder name/file name/ID3 ta g (only song title) recorded on the disc.

46 US Sound Adjustments Changing the Sound If a D VD is recorded with multilingual tracks, you can select the language you want while playing the D VD. If the D VD is recorded in multiple audio formats (PCM, Dolby Digital, MPEG audio, or DTS), you can select the audio format you want while playing the D VD.

48 US Automatically decoding the input audio signal (Auto Decoding) The auto decoding function automatically detects the type of audio signal being input (Dolby Digital, DTS, or standard 2 channel stereo) and performs the proper decoding if necessary .
Sound Adjustments 49 US Enjoying movies with Cinema Studio EX Cinema Studio EX is ideal for enjoying the movie software encoded with multi channel format, such as the Dolby Digital D VD. This mode reproduces the sound characteristics of Sony Pictures Entertainment’ s studios.
50 US N. SURROUND (Normal Surround) Software with multi channel surround audio signals is played back according to the way it was recorded. Software with 2 channel audio signals is decoded with Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Pro Logic II to create surround ef fects (pag e 28).
Sound Adjustments 51 US Using only the front speakers (2 Channel Stereo) Press 2CH ST on the receiver or SOUND FIELD on the remote repeatedly until “2CH STEREO” appears on the front panel display . This mode outputs the sound from the front left and right speakers only .
