13 GB Getting Started Hooking up the system A Antennas Find a location and an orientation that provide good reception, and then set up the antennas. The FM 75 Ω COAXIAL jack varies according to models. Note Keep the antennas away from the speaker cords, the power cord and th e USB ca ble to avoid picking up noise.
14 GB C D-LIGHT SYNC OUT jack Connect the D-LIGHT SYNC controller . Y ou need to connect the D-LIG HT SYNC controller to a lighting device* (not supplied). The lighting device will react according to the control signals transmitted by the D-LIGHT SYNC controller upon receiving mu sic source from the system.
15 GB Getting Started Insert the iPod Dock Adapter into the iPod 1 or 2 connector before use. For details on the supplied iPod Dock Adapters, refer t o the operating instructions supplied with the iPod Dock Adapter. To remove the iPod Dock Adapter, pull it up with your fingernail or a flat object using the slot inside the adapter.

17 GB Getting Started Setting the clock Use buttons on the remote for the operation. 1 Press "/1 to turn on the system. 2 Press TIMER MENU. The hour indication flashes in the display. If “PLAY SET?” f lashes in the display, press V or v repeatedly to select “CLOCK SET?”, then press .
18 GB Playing a CD/MP3 disc 1 Press CD (or FUNCTION +/– on the remote repeatedly to select “CD”). 2 Press A . 3 Load a disc with the label si de facing up on the disc tray. 4 Press A to close the disc tray. Do not forcibly push the disc tray to close it as this may cause a malfunction.

21 GB Basic Oper ations Transferring onto an USB device You can tr ansfer music fro m a sound source to an optional USB devi ce by connecting it to the (USB) port on the unit. The audio format transferred by this system is MP3. The approximate size of the transferring is about 1 MB per minute of transferring time (except MP3 disc).
22 GB 3 Start transferring. For CD-USB Synchronized Transfer : Press REC TO USB. “SYNC” and “REC” light up in the display. Then, transf erring starts when “Don’t Remove USB” appears in the display. When the transferring is completed, the disc and the USB device stop automatically.
23 GB Basic Oper ations To remove the USB device 1 Press USB (or FUNCTION +/– on the remote repeatedly to select “USB”). 2 When playback is stopped, hold down x on the unit until “No Device” appears in the display.
