12 AXIS Q6032-E - Video Streams AXIS Media Control (AMC) The recommended method of accessing live video from the network camera is to use the AXIS Media Control (AMC ) in Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows. The AMC control panel can be used to configure v arious video settings.

14 AXIS Q6032-E - Video Stream Settings Bit Rate Control The bit rate can be set as Variable Bit Rate (VBR) or Constant Bit Rate (CBR). VBR adjusts th e bit rate according to the image complexity, using up bandwidth for increased activity in th e image, and less for lower acti vity in th e monitored area.
15 AXIS Q6032-E - Video Stream Settings Stream Profiles There are 4 pre-programmed stream profiles available for quick set-up. These settings can be a djusted and new, cust omized profiles can be created. Each profile has a descriptive name, describing its usage an d/or purpose.
16 AXIS Q6032-E - Video Stream Settings Exposure zones - This setting determines which part of the image will be used to calculate the exposure. The Auto set ting can be used in many situations, but for particular re quirements, s elect one of the ot her predefined areas.

18 AXIS Q6032-E - Live View Config Live View Config Layout Stream Profile From the Stream Profile drop-down list, select the stream profile that is to be used for th e Live View page. Listed a re the standard stream profiles as well as the ones created under Video > Stream Profiles .
19 AXIS Q6032-E - Live View Config Default Viewer From the drop-down lists, select the default method for viewing video images for your browser. The camera attempts to show the video images in the selected video form at and viewer. If this is not possible, the camera overrides the settings and select s the best available combination.
20 AXIS Q6032-E - Live View Config User Defined Links User defined links can be CG I links or web links. Once configured, the link(s) appear on the Live View page. To set up a web link, select the U se as web link radio button, enter a descriptive name and enter the URL in the provided field.
21 AXIS Q6032-E - Dome Dome Preset Positions A preset position is a pre-defined camera view than can be used to quickly mo ve the camera to a specific location. From Preset Position Setup , use the Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) controls to st eer the camera t o the required position.

24 AXIS Q6032-E - Events Events An event triggers actions w hen activated. An event type is a set of parameters that defines the actions. A common event type is an alarm that causes the camera to up load images. Many ev ent types require an Event Server , to receive uploaded images.

26 AXIS Q6032-E - Events Continue image upload (unbuffered) - enables the upload of video images for a fi xed length of time. Specify the length of time for the uploaded recording, in seconds, minutes or hours, or for as long as the trigger is active.
27 AXIS Q6032-E - Events Configuring Moti on Detection The following example describes how to co nfigure the camera for motion detection. 1. Go to Set up > Events > Motion Detection. 2. Select Configure Included Windows or Configure Excluded Windows to define an Include or Exclude window, and enter a descriptive na me in the field below.
