AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Access the Product To prevent network eavesdropping, the root password can be set via an encrypted HTTPS connection, which requires an HTTPS certicate. HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over SSL) is a protocol used to encrypt trafc between web browsers and servers.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Set Up the Pr oduct Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Video and Audio The video and audio settings can be used to optimize video and audio quality . You can congure the following: • Video stream settings. See page 18 . • Stream proles. See page 20 .
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio • Mirror image . If required, the image can be mirrored. • Rotate image . If required, the image can be rotated. • Maximum frame rate . To avoid bandwidth problems, the frame rate allowed to each viewer can be Limited to a xed amount.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio - White balance windows - Action rules - Settings in uploaded applications Image Appearance Increasing the Color level increases the color saturation. The value 1 00 gives maximum color saturation.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Important Use WDR in combination with automatic exposure control. Other exposure settings could give undesirable results. Note WDR is only available if you have selected a capture mode that supports WDR.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Iris adjustment Select Enable automatic iris adjustment to automatically compensate for changing light conditions. This option is not available if a xed iris is used. Use the Iris adjustment slider to set the preferred F-value.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Overlay Overlays are used to provide extra information, for example for forensic video analysis or during product installation and conguration. Overlays are superimposed over the video stream.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Audio Settings The audio functionality for each video stream is enabled under Video & Audio > Video Stream > Audio .
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio • AAC requires a license for both encoding and decoding. AAC is the least complicated and most widely used codec. If achieving the best possible audio quality is a priority , AAC is the recommended codec to use.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Configure the Live View Page Configure the Live View Page Y ou can customize the Live View page and alter it to suit your requirements. It is possible to dene the following features of the Live View page. • Stream Prole.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Configure the Live View Page • Select Use PTZ joystick mode as default to enable joystick mode. The mode can be changed temporarily from the PTZ control panel. • Select Enable recording button to enable recording from the Live View page.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) The PTZ menu is available if digital PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) is enabled in the selected view area. For more information on view areas, see View Area on page 23 . This option is only available if you have selected Optical zoom for installation .

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Detectors Detectors Camera Tampering Camera T ampering can generate an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned, or when the lens is covered, sprayed or severely defocused. T o send an alarm, for example an email, an action rule must be set up.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events - Day/Night Mode – T rigger the rule when the product switches between day mode (IR cut lter on) and night mode (IR cut lter off). This can for example be used to control an external infrared (IR) light connected to an output port.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera System Options SNMP The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allows remote management of network devices. An SNMP community is the group of devices and management station running SNMP . Community names are used to identify groups.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera System Options Bonjour The Axis product includes support for Bonjour . Bonjour is enabled by default and the product is automatically detected by operating systems and clients that support this protocol. Bonjour can be disabled under System Options > Network > Bonjour .
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera System Options Important If autoformat is enabled, only use new or empty SD cards. Any data stored on the card will be lost when the card is inserted into the Axis product. An SD card inserted into the product can be manually formatted to one of the supported le systems.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera System Options Accelerometer The leveling assistant that helps to level the camera is enabled by default. To disable it, de-select the Enable leveling assistant option from System Options > Ports & Devices > Accelerometer and click Save .
