Setup your Rou ter You can place the router on a desk or oth er flat surface, or you can mo unt it on a wal l. For optimal performance, place you r router in the cent er of your hom e (or your office) i n a location th at is away from any potent ial source of in terference, such as a m etal wall or microwave oven.
Setup your Co mputer Windows, Manual Connection Click on the icon for wirel ess connectivi ty. This is usually l ocated in th e System Tray, next to the cl ock. Select the Sitecom netw ork. The correct n etwork name can be found on the sticker on bottom of the router, or i n the Network Detai l s Folder.

Login to your Router LOGIN procedure • OPEN your browse r (e.g. Intern et Explorer). • Type http:// sitecom.router in the address ba r and press [Ente r ]. • Type user name and pa ssword. The de fault username i s admin, the pas sword can be found on th e back l abel on the bottom of you r r outer.
Configure your Internet con nection From the menu, sel ect “Internet Setti ngs”. Depending on the ch osen setti ng, you may nee d to enter your use r name and pas sword, MAC address or h ostname i n the followin g window. After you hav e entered the co r rect informati on, click Apply .
IPv6 Configuration The IPv6 (Internet Pr otocol version 6) secti on is wher e you configu re your IPv6 Connection type. IPv6 Connect ion Type There are several c onnecti on types to choose from: Stat ic IPv6, Autocon figuration, 6RD and Link-l ocal only.
6RD Mode In the 6RD mode, no addi tional config uration is necessary. Link-local Mode The Link-l ocal address is used by n odes and rout ers when communi catin g with neighbori ng nodes on the same l ink. Thi s mode enab les IPv6-cap able devices to communicate wi th each other on th e LAN sid e.
Configure your Router Status The System status section allows you to monitor the cur rent status of your router, the up time, hardware i nformati on and serial number as well as firmware vers ion informati on is displayed here. DHCP Server The DHCP Server tab gives y ou the opportun ity to change the IP s ettings of the router.

Wireless Settings You can set param eters that are used f or the wireless stati ons to conne ct to this router for the 2.4 GHz radi o or 5 GHz rad io. The paramete rs inclu de Mode, ESSID, Chann el Number and Associ ated Cli ent. Wireless Function Enable or Disabl e Wireless functi on here.

Wi -Fi Protected A ccess (WPA) i s an advanc ed security stand ard. You ca n use a pre - shared key to authent icate wirel ess stations an d encrypt data duri ng commun ication. It uses TKIP or CCMP (AE S) to change the enc rypti on key frequently, s o the encryption k ey is not easy to be cra cked by hacke rs.

Advanced Settin gs Network Address Tran slati on (NAT) allows mul tiple users at your local site to acc ess the Internet through a single Publi c IP Address or mu ltiple Publi c IP Addresses.
Enable Port Forw arding : Enable Port Fo rwardi ng Local IP : Thi s is the private IP of the s erver behin d the NAT firewall . Type : This i s the protocol type to be forwarded. You can choose to fo rward “TCP” or “UDP” packets onl y, or sel ect “both” to forward both “TCP” and “UD P” packets.

Toolbox S ettings Password You can change the pas sword required to l og into the router's system web -based management. Pas swords can contai n 0 to 12 al phanumeri c characters, and are case sensitive. Current Passwo rd : Fi ll in th e current password to al low chang ing to a new password.
Time Server Addr ess : You can set an NTP serv er address. Enable Daylight Savings : The route r can also take Da ylight savings into account. If you wi sh to use this fun ction, you mu st check/tick the enab le boxto enable your dayl ight savin g configuration (b elow).
Enable autom atic firmware update : When enabl ed the router wi ll periodicall y check i f a new firmware i s avail able. If a new firmwa re is detected th e router wil l give a notification. Firmware Upgrad e : Th is tool allows you to up grade the Broadban d router’s syst em firmware.
Reset You can reset the rout er’s system shoul d any probl em exist. The reset functi on essentiall y re- boots your router’s syst em. DDNS DDNS all ows you to map the stati c domain name to a dynamic IP address. You must get an account, passwo rd and your stat ic domain name from the DDNS ser vice providers.
Addendum A: USB Po rt Control Center The netUSB functi onali ty of your router requi res additional softwa re to work with your computer. The foll owing section will describe how the softwa re can be i nstalled and used. Windows Insert the CD-R OM that was i nclud ed with your router and select i nstall utility f rom the cd -menu.
Enter your username and organizat ion if applicabl e and click Next to conti nue. Choose a folder wh ere the software shoul d be in stalled or keep it to default an d click Next to conti nue.
The software is now ready to be i nstall ed, Click Install to conti nue. Once the install ation is fini shed the software wil l inform you. If “ L aunch Site com USB Device Server ” checked th e software wi ll automati cally be launched after you cli cked Finish .
MacOS Insert the CD- R OM that was i nclud ed with your router and select “ I nstall ” from th e cd - menu. Click Install t o contin ue installation. Enter your Mac use rname and passw ord and cli ck OK to conti nue. Once the install ation is fini shed the software wil l inform you and r equires to resta rt the system.
Connect & Discon nect “NetUSB” all ows you to use USB printers when t hey’re actuall y connected to the Sitecom USB server. The “connect” operati on is a softwar e operation th at simulat es an actual USB device plug- in .
Please foll ow the user manual of the USB de vice to in stall its dri ver. For example, you may pu t the driver CD of th e USB device in the CD -ROM player to install the driver.
NetUSB Printing using Auto- Connect P rinter After the driver is i nstalled, you can see a newl y created prin te r in the Cont rol Panel. Follow the steps bel ow to perform N etUSB pri nting. In the Control Cente r, cli ck the MFP server that ha s the desired pri nter (or MFP) attached.
When you do a pri nt job agai n. The control center will automati cally do a connectin g operation on pri nting agai n. This i s so- call ed “Auto Connect / Disconnect” operati on. Note : Under th e “Auto - Conn ected Prin ter” setting, i t is not necessary to manu ally press the “ Connect ” bu tton when pri nting.
NetUSB Scannin g using Net work Scanning In the Control Cente r, cli ck the MFP serv er that has the desi red MFP attached. Click the desired MFP. Click the “Network Scanner” bu tton. Then you can see that t he Control Center will automatically do a “conn ect” operation.
