7 PC Networ k Adapt er set up Windows XP • Go to [ Start Menu ], [ C ontrol panel ], [ Network Connectio ns ]. • Right-mouse-cl ick on the [ L ocal Area Connectio n] ) ic on, an d sel ect [ properties ] • Select [ I nternet Protoc ol (TCP/IP) ] =>Cl ick [ Prop erties ].
Windows Vista/W indows 7 • Go to [ Start Menu ], [ C ontrol panel ], [ View network status an d tasks ], -> [ Manag e network connectio ns ].

8 Bring up the WLM- 2501 Connect the suppl ie d p ower- adapter to the p ower i nlet port and connect it to a wall out l et. Press th e P ower-Button to t urn the m odem on.
Status The System status sec tion all ows you to monitor the c urrent status of your router: the UP time, hardware information, seria l number a s well as fi rmware version informati on is di spl ayed here.
Statistic s Y ou can vi ew statisti cs on the processi ng of IP packe ts on the n etworki ng interfaces . Y o u wi l l not typica lly need to view thi s data, but you m ay fi nd it helpf ul when work in g wit h your ISP to diagnose network a nd I nternet data transmission probl ems.

DHCP List This pa ge sh ows al l DHCP cl ie nts (LAN PCs) c urrently connecte d to your network. The tab le sh ows the a ssigne d IP add ress, MAC address a nd expi ration time f or each DHC P lease d cli ent. Use the Re fresh butto n to update the availab le informatio n.
QoS Queu e The screen al lows you to confi gure a QoS qu eue and ass i gn it to a spec ifi c network. If the channel operation modes of your ADSL ro uter are not conf ig ured and you enable t he QoS funct ion, you’l l s ee t he fol low ing message: Please f ol low th e Setu p Wizard to fi nis h W AN c onf iguration b efore sett ing up QoS.

DHCP Setting s Y ou can confi gure your netw ork and the ro uter to us e the Dynami c Hos t Confi guration Protocol (DH CP). This pag e al lows you to sel ect the D HCP mode that this ro uter wi l l supp ort. There are two diff erent DHCP Modes: DH CP Server and DHCP Relay .
