4 System Re quirements T o begin using the WLM-350 0, make sure you meet the f ollowi ng as mi nimum requirements: • PC/Notebook. • 1 Free Ethernet port. • Wi-Fi card/USB dongl e (802.11 b/g/n) – optiona l. • Annex A, AD SL i nternet connecti on.
5 WLM-350 0 Placemen t Y ou can pl ace the WLM-3 500 on a desk or other fl at surface, or you can mount it on a wall. For o pt imal performance, plac e your Wirel ess B roadband Modem/Router in the ce.
7 PC Networ k Adapter setup Windows XP • Go to [ Start Menu ], [ Control panel ], [ Network Connectio ns ]. • Right-mouse-cl ick on the [ Local Area Connectio n] ) icon, and sel ect [ properties ] • Select [ I nternet Protocol (TCP/IP) ] =>Click [ Pro perties ].
Windows Vista/W indows 7 • Go to [ Start Menu ], [ Control panel ], [ View network status and tasks ], -> [ Manag e network connectio ns ].
• Select [ I nternet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) ], and Cli ck [ Properties ]. • Open the [ Ge neral ] tab. The WLM -3500 supports DH CP . Please se lect b oth [ Obtain an IP a d dress automatically ] and [ Obtain D NS server address automatically ].
8 Bringing up the W LM-3500 Connect the sup plied p ower- adapt er to the po wer i nlet port and connect it to a wall out let. Press the Power-Button to turn the modem on.
4. T y pe user name and password. The default username is “adm in” . Th e default password can be fou nd on the back label of the devi ce. 3. Clic k OK .
LAN s ettings The LAN tab g ives you the opp ortunity to chang e the IP setti ngs o f the WLM- 3500. Click <Ap ply> at the bottom of t his scr een to save any changes. IP address 1 92.168.0 .1. It is the router’ s LAN IP address (Y o ur LAN cl ients default gateway IP address).
IP Address Poo l Y ou can s elect a parti cular IP address range for your DHCP server to issu e IP addresse s to your LAN Cl ients. Note : default IP range 192.
Device Status View t he Broadband modem/router’ s current conf iguration setti ngs. Devi ce Status d isplays the co nfig u ration setting s you’ve conf igured in t he Wizard / Basic Setti ngs / W ireles s Settin gs section.
Internet Status This pag e d isplays wh ether the ADSL p ort is connect ed to an A DSL servi ce provider . It a lso displ ays the router’s WAN IP address, S ubnet Mask, and ISP Gateway as wel l as MA C address, the Primary DNS. Press Renew button to renew your WAN IP address.
DHCP Client Status This pag e s hows all DH CP clients (LAN PCs) currentl y connected to your network. The table shows the as signe d IP address, MAC address and expiration t ime for each DHCP lea sed cl ient. Use the Re fresh button to update the availabl e i nformation.
WLM-350 0 Log View the operation l og of th e WL M-35 00 . This page shows the current system log of the Broadband m odem/router . It dis plays any event occurred after system start up.
Statisti cs This page shows t he statist ics for the w ireles s, LAN, and WAN i nterfaces..
ADSL St atus This page show s the c urren t operation mo de, status of your ADSL c onnectio n, the data rate and the qual ity of your ADSL li nk. Operation mode allows m a nual sel ection o f the ADS L mode.
10 Configu ration W izard Click Wizard to conf igure the modem. Th e Setup wi zard w il l now be d isplayed; check that the a dsl line i s connect ed and cl ick Next. Select yo ur country from the Cou ntry list. Sele ct your internet provi der . Click Next.
Depend ing on the chosen p r o v ider , y ou may need to enter your us er name and password o r hostname in t he fo llowi ng w indow . After y ou h av e entered the correct inf ormation, click Next .
11 Wirel ess Se ttings Y ou can set p arameters that a re used for the wireless stations to connect to this router . The parameters inc lude Mod e, ESSID, Channel Number and Associate d Cli ent. Wireles s Functi on Enable or Disab le Wirel ess funct ion h e re .
Basic Se ttings 802.11 Mode All ows you to set t he AP fixed at 802.11b or 80 2 . 11g mode. Y ou can al so sele c t B +G+N mode to allo w 802.1 1b , 802 .11g and 802. 11n cli ents at the same t ime. Band 20/40 MHz A llow s automatic detect ion of the operation bandw idth between 20 and 4 0 MHz.

WEP When you se lect 64-b it or 128- bit W E P k ey , you ha ve to e nter WEP keys to encrypt data. Y ou can generate the key by yourself and e n t er it. Y ou can enter four WEP keys a nd select o ne of them as a default key . Then the router can receive any packe t s encrypted by one of t he fo u r key s .
WPA Pre-sha red Key Wi-Fi Protected A ccess ( WP A ) is an advanced security standard. Y ou can use a pre-shared key to au t henticat e wire less stations and encry pt data during communicati on. It uses TKIP or CCMP (AES) to c hange t he e ncryptio n key frequentl y .
ACL This wirel ess router sup ports MAC Addr ess Co ntrol, which prevents unauthorized cl ie nts from accessi ng your wir eless network. Enable wireless access c o ntrol Enables the w ireless access c.
WPS Wi-Fi Protected S e t up (WPS) is the simpl est wa y to establ ish a c onnection between the w ireless c lients and the wir eless router . Y ou d on’t have t o sel ect the encrypti on mode a nd fill in a long encrypti on passphrase e v ery tim e when you try to setup a wire less connectio n.
WPS Current Status If the wi reless security (encryption) funct ion of this wirel ess router is pro perly set, you’ll see a ‘Confi gured’ message here. Otherwise, you’ll see ‘UnConfi gured’ . Self P in Code This is t h e WPS PIN code of the wi reless router .
12 Firewa ll Setting s The Broadband router provides extensi ve firewall protecti on by restricti ng connecti on parameters, thus limi tin g the risk of hacker attacks, and def ending against a w ide arra y of common Internet attacks.
DMZ If yo u have a cli ent PC that cannot run an Int ernet app lication (e.g. Games) properly from beh ind the NA T f irewal l, then you can open up t he fi rewall restricti ons to unrestri cted two-wa y Internet access by def ining a DMZ Host.
Denial of Service ( DoS) The Broadband router's fir e wal l can block co mmon hacker attacks, includi ng Denial of Service, Pi ng of Death, P ort S can and Sync Flo od.
Access Y ou can r e stri ct us ers from acce s s ing certain Internet a pplicat ions/servi ces (e.g. I nternet we bsites, email, FTP etc .). Access Control a llows users to define the traffic type permitted in your LAN. Y ou can control which PC client can have access to these services .
Filter client PC by MAC Check “E nable MA C Filter ing” to enable MAC Filteri ng. Add PC Fil l in “Cl ient PC MA C Address” an d “Comment” of the PC that is allowe d to access the Internet, and then cl ick “ Add ” .
URL block Y ou can block access to some W eb sites from particular PCs by enterin g a full URL address or j ust keywords of the Web site. Enable URL Blocki ng Enabl e/disab le URL Bl ockin g Add URL Keyword Fill in “URL/K e yword” and then cli ck “ Add” .
Schedul e Schedul es can b e created for u s e wit h enforci ng rules. F or example, if you want to restrict web access to Mon-Fri f ro m 3pm to 8pm, you coul d create a schedul e sele cting Mo n, Tue, W ed, Thu, a n d Fri and enter a Start Time of 3pm and E nd Time of 8pm.

Once you have sel ected an a ppl ication, se lect a locatio n (1-1 0) in t he Copy to sel ection box and t hen cl ick t he Copy t o button.
Applica tion Laye r Gate way You can sel ect appl icati ons that need “A ppl ication Layer Gateway” support. Click < Ap ply > at the bottom of t he screen to save the above conf igurations.
UPNP With UPnP , a l l PCs i n you Intranet wi ll disc over this router automatically . So, you don’ t have to conf igure your PC and it c an easi ly access the I nternet through thi s router . UPnP Fe ature Y ou can enable or Disabl e the UP nP fea t ure here.
QoS QoS can let you clas sify Internet applicat ion traffic by s ource/destina tion I P address and port number . Y ou can assi gn priori ty for each type of app licati on and reserve bandwi dth for it. The packets of appl ications with h igher priority wil l al wa ys go f irst.
Edit a QoS rule Select the rul e you want to edit and clic k “Edit ” , then enter the d etail form of the Q oS rul e. Cl ick “ App ly ” after edi ting the form and the rule wi ll be saved. Adjust QoS rule priority Y ou can sel ect the rule and cl ick “M o ve Up” to make it s priority higher .
Mode The mode-f unctio n all ows you to conf igure the Mod em-router as a pure modem, wi thout router f unctionali ty . Note that this feature onl y works for DHC P and PPPo E internet co nnections. Click < Ap ply > at the bottom of t he screen to save the above conf iguration.

Passwords can contain 0 to 12 alp hanumeric characters, and are case sens itive. Current Password Fil l i n the current passw ord to al low changi ng to a new password.
Time Zo ne The Time Zone all ows your ro uter to base it s t ime on the setti ngs confi gured here, whi ch wi ll aff ect funct ions s u c h as Log entries and Firewall settings. Set Time Zone Select t he time zone of the country you are c urrently in.
Remote Man agemen t The remote mana gement function allow s you to des ignate a host in the Internet the abil ity t o confi gure the Broa dband router from a remote s ite.
Firmwa re Upg rade This page all ows you to upgrad e the router ’ s firmware. Firmware Up grade T h is tool al lows you to upgrade the Broadband router’s system f irmware.
Backup Set tings The Back up scree n al lows you to save (B ackup) the router’s current confi guration s ettings. Whe n you save the c onfiguration setti ng (B a ck up) you can re-l oad t he saved confi gura t ion into the router thro ugh the Restore select ion.
Reset Y ou ca n re set the ro ute r ’ s system sho uld any prob lem exist. The reset function essentia lly re-boots your router’ s s ystem..
DDNS DDNS allow s you to map t he stati c domain name to a dynamic IP address. Y ou must get an account, passwor d an d your static domai n n am e fro m th e DDNS service provide rs. Thi s r outer sup ports DynDNS, TZO and other common DDNS s ervice providers.
