The WL- 340/341/ 342 automatica lly enters the s elf-test phase. During sel f-test phase, the Power LED wi ll be l it continu ously to indi cate that this pro duct i s i n normal o peration.

18 DHCP Client Status This page show s all DHCP cl ients (LAN PCs) c urrently con nected to your network. The table shows the a ssig ned IP address , MAC ad dress and e xpirati on time for ea ch DHCP l eased cl ient. Use the Refresh b utton to u pdate the availabl e i nformation.

23 Basic Settings Band Allo ws you t o set the AP fi xed at 80 2.11b or 802. 11g mode. You c an also select B+G mode to allo w 802. 11b an d 802.1 1g c lie nts at the same t ime. ESSID This is the name of t he wi reless s ignal wh ich is broadcasted. All the devices in t he same w ireless LAN shou ld have t he same E SSID .
24 A dvanced Settings This tab a ll ows you to set the ad vanced wire less o ptions. The options incl uded are Authenticat ion Type, Fragment T hreshold, RTS Thresh old, Beac on Interval, and Preamble Type. Y ou shou ld not change thes e parameters unl ess you kn ow what effect the cha nges wi ll have on the router.
25 Broadcast ESSID If you enabl ed “Broadcast ES SID”, every w ireles s station located w ith in the c overage of t his acces s point can di scover thi s access point easily. If you are bu ildi ng a public wi reless network, enab lin g this feature is recommended.
26 Security This Acc ess Po int provi des comp lete w ireless LAN security f unctions, incl uded are WEP, IEEE 802. 11x, IE EE 80 2.11x w ith WEP, WPA with pre-shared key an d WPA wit h RADIUS . Wit h thes e security f unction s, you can prevent yo ur wirel ess LAN from i ll egal acc ess.
27 WEP When you s ele ct 64-b it or 128- bit WE P key, you have to enter W EP keys to encrypt data. Yo u can generate the key by yourself and e nter it. You can enter four WE P keys an d select one of them as a defa ult key. Then the router can receiv e any pack ets encrypted by one of the fo ur keys.
28 WP A P re-shared Key Wi-Fi Protect ed A ccess (WPA) is an adva nced secur ity standard. Yo u can use a pre-shared key to a uthenticat e wire less stat ions and encrypt data d urin g communicati on. I t uses TKIP or CC MP (AES) to change the e ncryption key frequentl y.
29 WP A-Radius Wi-Fi Protect ed A ccess ( WPA ) is an a dvanced security standard. You can us e an external RA DIUS server to authent icate wir eless stations a nd provi de the session key to e ncrypt data duri ng commun ication . It uses TKIP or AE S to change the encrypti on key frequently.

31 WPS Wi-Fi Protect ed S etup (WPS) is the sim plest wa y to establ ish a c onnecti on between t he w ireless cli ents and t he wire less router. You do n’t have to select the encrypti on mo de and fi ll in a long encryptio n passphrase ev ery time w hen you try to setup a wi reless c onnecti on.
32 WPS Current Status If the w irel ess securit y (encryptio n) functi on of th is wirel ess router is proper ly set, y ou’ll s ee a ‘Conf igured’ message here. Otherwise, y ou’l l see ‘U nConfi gured’. Self Pin Code This is t he WPS PIN code of the wir eless ro uter.
33 12 Fire w all Setti ngs The Broadband rout er provid es extensiv e fi rewall protection by restrict ing connecti on parameters, thus l imiti ng the ri sk of hacker attacks, and defendi ng against a w i de array of common I nternet attacks.
34 DMZ If you have a cl ient PC that can not run an Inter net appl icatio n (e.g. Games) properly from beh ind the N AT firewal l, th en you can open up the f irewall restricti ons to unrestricted two- way Internet access by defi ni ng a DMZ Host.
35 Denial of Service (DoS) The Broadband rout er's firewa ll ca n block common hacker attacks, incl udi ng Denial of S ervice, Ping of Death, Port Scan and S ync Floo d.
