13 ENTERING A SETUP CODE Find the setup codes according to the type and the brand name of your component, referring to “MANUFACTURER’S CODES” in the operating manual of this remote control. 2 Turn on the component you want to control. 1 Press and hold down the SETUP button until the LED flickers twice, then release the SETUP button.
14 LISTENING TO A PROGRAM Operations Before operation Select the desired input source. 3 Enter the standby mode. The STANDBY button lights up in red. 18 Speaker placement To obtain the best surround sound effect in your home, place the speakers as follows; Front speakers: Place each front speaker about 1 m (40 ) from the TV set. Front Center speaker: Place the center speaker either above or below the TV set to assure a good match between the audio and video of the center channel program.
19 ENJOYING SURROUND SOUND Surround sound effect will not work properly if the signal passes through a graphic equalizer. Please refer to your equalizer operating instructions for guidance on switching off (or defeating) the equalizer. Select the desired surround mode.
