6 CABLE TV (CA TV) CONNECTION • A 75 ohm coaxial cable connector is built into the set f or easy hookup. When connecting the 75 ohm coaxial cable to the set, scre w the 75 ohm cab le to the COAXIAL CABLE CONNECT OR. • Some cable TV companies offer “premium pay channels”.

9 • When you turn on the TV for the fir st time, it will automaticall y memorize the broadcasting channels. Please perform the f ollowing instructions bef ore pressing the PO WER button. (1) Insert the batteries into the remote control. (See page 5) (2) Connect the antenna cable to the TV set.
10 Demo Mode • T o learn more about the TV set, you can enter DEMO mode. Simply press and hold MENU on the TV set for more than 3 seconds. • T o cancel DEMO mode, again press MENU on the TV set for more than 3 seconds.

1 3 H MTS (Multichannel TV Sound) This function allows reception of stereo or bilingual TV sound. • Y ou can enjoy Hi-Fi stereo sound or SAP broadcasts where a vailable. Stereo broadcasts Liv e television broadcasts of sports, shows, concerts, etc. can be receiv ed in dynamic stereo sound.

2 4 H VIEW TIMER This function allows y ou to restrict TV viewing time and also allows y ou to control TV usage. This function is to prevent y our children fr om watching too muc h TV . VIEWING TIME (an accumulative timer: counts only the time duration while the TV power is on.

2 7 Energy Sa ve • This feature lets y ou lower the power consumption of y our TV set which in turn saves y ou money and minimizes the impact on the en vironment. When this feature is turned on, it reduces the brightness of the TV to a level that consumes appro ximately 20 percent less ener gy than when the feature is turned off.

3 6 CH/Input ID • Y ou can assign an ID label to each channel or input mode. These ID labels can be 4 characters long maxim um and will be displayed along with the channel number/input mode when the labeled channel is selected. (Example: labeling air channel 10 “TV12”.
