Information on the factory default settings of the operating menu can be found in the appendix (see page 111 ).

Running a conference 44 Running a conference The character of your conference (i.e. th e conditions under w hich the participants can take the floor or are granted speaking privileges) depends on the settings of the central unit (see page 26 ). Possible settings : “ Direct Access ”, “ Override ” and “ Request ”.
45 Running a conference Operating a delegate unit T aking the floor/Making a requ est to speak Depending on the confer ence mode set (see page 26 ) you can • take the floor immediately or • make a request to speak. You then have to wait until the ch ai rman activates your microphone.
Running a conference 46 Connecting headphones You can connect mono or ster eo headphones to the confere nce unit to listen to the floor channel. The headphone volume can be individ ually adju sted on the conf er - ence unit. 왘 Connect headphones with a 3.
47 Running a conference Granting speaking privileges If – in “ Request ” mode – a participa nt presses t h e mic rophone key on his or her delegate unit, he or she makes a request to speak. All participants who have made a request to speak will joi n a request-to-speak list.
Running a conference 48 Muting all delegate un its te mpor arily (priority function) Using the priority function, the chairman can i nterrupt a di scussion at any time. The speaking privileges of all chairm an units remain active at any time. 왘 Keep the priority key pressed for as long as you want to mute the confer - ence units.
