Cheetah NS 10K.2 FC drives su pport the Fibr e Channe l Arbitrated Loop and SCSI Fibre Channel Protocol specifications to the extent described in this manual.

B 13 4.4 Prefetch/multi-segmented cache control The drive provides a prefetch (read look-ahe ad) and mu lti-seg mented cache control algo rithms that in many cases can enhance system performance. Cache refers to the drive buf fer storage space when it is used i n cache operations.

Each level may consist of multiple st eps, where a step is defined as a re cove ry function involving a single re- read or re-write atte mpt.
