16 Chapte r 2 Setu p pro cedure s T o use the projector via the networks, follow the setup pr ocedures below . STEP 1 Install the soft ware on c omputers. Install the sof tware recorded in CD-ROM on each computer which will be operated. Read following pages of this chapter to install .
17 Installing the soft ware It is requir ed to install the sof tware into your computer to use the Network Captur e function . Please install the software as follows. Note: T o install the software into the computer with Windows 2000, Windows XP or Window s Vista, you should logon as administrator .

When installing, consult y our system administrator to set up the LAN appr opriately . Connect the LAN cable to the LAN connection terminal of the projector .

This projector contains the Wireless LAN module. The setting procedures and configurations differ depending on the LAN installation location.

Wireless LAN Configurations ” (p.33-42), select “Next ” in the LAN setting screen and press SELEC T button.
37 Use of security type "WEP" 1. Use the Poin t ed buttons to select "WEP" securit y type. 2. Select “WEP Key index” . Use the Point ed buttons to choose the HEX or ASCII key. The four (#1–#4) kinds of WEP keys can be configured.

50 Chapte r 6 Basic s et ting a nd op eratio n Date and time setting NTP is abbreviated expressions of Network Time Protoc ol. It is a protocol to acquire the exact current time via the network. This projector acquires the current time from the NTP ser ver and update the time in the network module.
