5 All the saf ety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. Read all of the instr uctions given here and retain them for later use. Unplug this projector from A C pow er supply before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
6 Openings in the cabinet are provided f or ventilation. T o ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from ov erheating, these openings must not be bloc ked or cov ered. CA UTION Hot air is exhausted from the e xhaust vent. When using or installing the projector , the follo wing precautions should be taken.
7 Use the projector properly in specified positions. Improper positioning may reduce the lamp lif e and result in sev ere accident or fire hazard. This projector can project the pict ure in upward, down ward, or inclined position in perpendicular direction to the horizontal plane.
8 Use the hand grip when moving the projector . Replace the lens cap and retract the adjustable f eet to prev ent damage to the lens and cabinet when carr ying. When the projector is not in use for an e xtended period, put it into a suitable case to protect the projector .
9 AC P ow er Cord for the Unit ed Kingdom: This cord is already fit ted with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of whic h is indicated on the pin face of the plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced, an A ST A approved BS 1 362 fuse must be used of the same rating, marked thus A S A .

19 When replacing the lens or using an optional lens, install the lens by follo wing the instructions below . A sk the sales dealer for detailed information of the optional lens specifications. Fit the lens to the projector by aligning the red dot on the lens with the red dot of the projector .

24 Connect the projector’ s A C pow er cord into an A C outlet. The PO WER indicator lights green. Press the ON/S T AND-B Y but ton on the top control or the ON but ton on the remote control. The LAMP indicator lights red and the cooling fans start to operate.

52 Remote contr ol Remote contr ol The eight dif f erent remote control codes (Code 1–Code 8) are assigned to the projector; the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the other sev en codes (Code 2 to Code 8). The same code should set on both the projector and the remote control.

54 F an contr ol This function is used to set the cooling f ans’ operation to the projector’ s set ting environment. Set this function properly in accordance with the projector ’ s inst allation method. Other wise, the cooling fans will not w ork properly and that causes malfunctions of the projector and decreases the lamp lif e.
55 Change the PIN code loc k setting Use the P oint 7 8 but tons to switc h bet ween the options. Use the P oint 7 8 but ton to select Off , On1, or On2 and then mov e the pointer to “Quit” with the P oint d but ton. Press the SELECT but ton to close the dialog box.
56 The PIN code can be c hanged to your desired four -digit number . Press the P oint d but tons to select “PIN code c hange ” and press the SELECT but ton.

59 When the projection lamp of the projector reac hes its end of lif e, the Lamp replacement icon appears on the screen and LAMP REPLA CE indicator lights yello w . Replace the lamp with a new one promptly . The timing when the LAMP REPLA CE indicator should light is depending on the lamp mode.
60 Be sure to reset the Lamp counter af ter the lamp is replaced. When the Lamp counter is reset, the LAMP REPLA CE indicator stops lighting and the Lamp replacement icon disappears.
