16 When controlling sev eral projectors from eac h remote control at the same time, you can assign a remote control code (Code 1 - Code 8) to individual projectors and remote controls to prev ent remote control interf erence. Assign the same code the y ou specified for the projector to the remote control.

22 Installation At tac hing the Cable Tie Cable tie Y ou can dress and secure all cables to a cable tie (supplied). The cable tie is reusable and can be loosened and tightened as many times as needed. Cable tie T o loosen the cable tie 1 . Pull the tab in the arro w direction.
23 NOTE ON THE POWER COR D A C pow er cord must meet the requirements of the countr y where you use the projector . Confirm the A C plug type with the c hart below and proper A C power cord must be used. If the supplied A C power cord does not match your A C outlet, contact your sales dealer .
24 Basic Oper ation Connect the projector’ s A C power cord into an A C outlet. The LAMP indicator lights red and the PO WER indicator lights green. Press the ON/S T AND-B Y but ton on the side control or the ON but ton on the remote control. T he LAMP indicator dims and the cooling fans start to operate.
25 Basic Oper ation What is PIN code? PIN (P ersonal Identification Number) code is a securit y code that allows the person who kno ws it to operate the projector . Set ting a PIN code prevents unauthoriz ed use of the projector . A PIN code consists of a four -digit number .
26 Ho w to Oper ate the On-Scr een Menu Basic Oper ation The projector can be adjusted or set via the on-screen menu. The menu has a hierarc hical struct ure, with a main menu that is divided into submenus, whic h are further divided into other submenus.

29 Basic Oper ation Using the remote control for some frequently used operations is advisable. J ust pressing one of the but tons enables you to mak e the desired operation quic kly without calling up the On-Screen Menu. Press the ZO OM but tons on the remote control to zoom in and out the image.
30 Basic Oper ation Press the FREEZE but ton on the remote control to freeze the pict ure on the screen. T o cancel the FREEZE function, press the FREEZE but ton again or press any other but ton. Fig.1 will appear when the F reeze function is w orking.

34 Input Selection When the video input signal is connected to the Y , Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr jac ks, select Y , Pb/ Cb, Pr/Cr . When the video input signal is connected to the VIDEO jac k, select Video. When connecting to video equipment, select the type of Video source in the Source Select Menu.
35 Comput er Input PC Syst em Menu PC Syst em Menu 1 2 PC system can also be selected manually . Selected system is display ed. Press the MENU but ton to display the on-screen menu. Use the P oint ed but tons to select Input and then press the P oint 8 or the SELECT but ton.
36 Comput er Input A uto PC A djustment function is provided to automatically adjust Fine sync, T otal dots, P osition H and P osition V to conform to y our computer . T o stor e the adjusted par ameters. The adjusted parameters from the Auto PC Adjustment can be stored in the projector .
37 Comput er Input Some computers employ special signal f ormats whic h may not be t uned by Multi-Scan sy stem of this projector . Manual PC A djustment enables you to precisely adjust sev eral parameters to matc h those special signal formats. The projector has 1 0 independent memor y areas to store those parameters manually adjusted.

44 Adjust the screen scale and position manually with this function. Press the P oint 8 but ton or the SELECT but ton at Custom adj. and Custom adj. is display ed on the screen, you can use the P oint ed but tons to c hoose the item you want to adjust.
45 This function is used to adjust k ey stone distortion of the projected image. Use the P oint ed but tons to c hoose the item you w ant to adjust. This function ret urns all adjusted values to the factory default set tings. Press the SELECT but ton at Reset to displa y a confirmation box.
46 If the projector cannot reproduce proper video image, select a specific broadcast signal format from among P AL , SECAM , NTSC , NTSC 4.43 , P AL -M , and P AL -N . The projector automatically detects an incoming video signal, and adjusts itself to optimize its perf ormance.

7 4 Maint enance and Car e Lamp Manag ement This P rojector is equipped with 2 Projection Lamps to ensure brighter image and those lamps are controlled b y the Lamp Management F unction. T he Lamp Management F unction detects the st atus of lamps and sho ws the status on screen or on the LAMP 1/2 REPLA CE indicators.
