7 Char ging a Ba tter y Y our phone is powered by a rechargeable Li -ion ba ttery . Use the tra vel adapto r to charge the battery , and use only Sam sung approved batteries and chargers. Note: Y ou must fully ch arge the ba ttery be fore using yo ur phone for the first time.

21 Clear K ey The CLR key is used to erase or clear num bers, tex t , or symbols from the display . Y ou can also use to return to a previous menu or to return to standby mode from any menu. • If you enter an incorre ct character , brie fly press to backspa ce (and delete) the character .

Call Functi ons 24 Making a Call • T o clear another digit in the number , p ress the Left or Rig ht Navigation key until the cursor is immediately to the right o f the digit to be cleared. Press the key . • T o enter a miss ing digit press the Left or Right Navigation key until the cursor is in position and enter the digit.

Call Functi ons 30 Silent Mode Silent Mode Silent mode is convenient when you wish to stop the phone from making noise, in a theater for e xample. In Idle mode , press and hold the key until th e phone vibrates , the “Silent Profil e on” message appears on screen.
