4 Getting star ted About Gear Cir cle With this Bluet ooth headset (also referred t o as Circle), y ou can connect with Bluetooth- enabled devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

Getting star ted 8 1 Open the charger port cover . 2 Plug the small end of the charger int o the charger por t of the Circle. Connecting the charger improperly ma y cause serious damage to the device . Any damage caused by misuse is not co ver ed by the warranty .
Getting star ted 9 • When the battery power is low , the Circle beeps and the status indicator flashes red. • Calls on the Cir cle will automatically transf er to the connected device if the Circle is turned off . • The Cir cle can be used while it is charging , but it may take longer to fully charge the battery .
Getting star ted 10 W earing the Cir cle 1 Selec t a set of the pro vided ear bud tips that fit your ears . 2 Selec t the earbud tip for the left or right ear . Each earbud tip is marked with L for the left ear and R for the right ear . 3 Co ver the latch a t the bottom of the earphone with the earbud tip .
Getting star ted 11 5 T urn the earphone upside down and check the co vering . Cov er the other ear phone with an earbud tip . 6 W ear the Circle as shown in the image belo w . Using the neck guide W earing the Circle using the neck guide (for out door ac tivities) will preven t the neck band from falling off of y our neck.

A djusting the volume Swipe upw ards on the V olume contr ol touch pad to incr ease the sound while you ar e wearing the earphones. Swipe down wards on the V olume control t ouch pad to decrease the sound while y ou are wearing the earphones.
13 C onnec ting via Bluetooth Bluetooth About Bluetooth Bluetooth is a wireless t echnology standard that uses a 2.4 GHz frequenc y to connect to various devices ov er shor t distances.
Connecting via Bluetooth 14 C onnec ting to other devic es T o use the Cir cle, y ou must pair it with another device. A f ter pairing with a device, the C ircle will automatically connect to the device in the futur e. Y ou can connec t the Circle t o other devices using the Samsung Gear app or via Bluetooth.
Connecting via Bluetooth 15 6 Other device Read and agree to the t erms and conditions, and then tap F inish . When the devices ar e connected properly , the Cir cle will beep and vibrate . C onnec ting devic es via Bluetooth 1 Circle T urn on the Circle.
Connecting via Bluetooth 16 C onnec ting to two devic es The Cir cle can connect to two Bluetooth-enabled devices at the same time. When you c onnect the Circle to two devices , the last device you connect is recognised as the primar y device. The other device is recog nised as the secondar y device.
Connecting via Bluetooth 17 Reconnecting and disconnec ting devic es Reconnecting the devices The connection between the Circle and the c onnected device may disconnect when using the devices ov er long distances. When the connection is ended, the Cir cle will beep and vibrate .
18 U sing the Cir cle W earing status of the C ircle The earphones contain mag nets so that they can be connected. The method f or receiving calls diff ers depending on whether the earphones are connected or separated . The Gear Circle c ontains magnets in its earbuds.
Using the Cir cle 19 • Connecting the earphones: The earphones are connected to each other . Calls Answ ering and rejec ting calls Answ ering a call When a call comes in while y ou are w earing the Circle , the Circle will beep and vibra te . Pr ess the Play/T alk key to answer the call.
Using the Cir cle 20 Using options during a call Adjusting the v olume During a call, swipe upwar ds or downwar ds on the V olume control touch pad . Swit ching sound output Use the rela ted menu on the connected device to swit ch sound output bet ween the Cir cle and the connected device.
Using the Cir cle 21 Pla ying music Play music fr om the connec ted devices . When you answ er a call while a file is playing, the file will pause and resume automa tically when the call is ended.
22 U sing the S amsung G ear app Launching the Samsung G ear app The Samsung Gear app allows w earable devices, such as the Gear , to connect to a smar tphone.
Using the Samsung Gear app 23 C onnec ting with a wear able device On the Samsung Gear main screen, tap → Search for new de vices . Y ou can connect to another wearable devic e only after disconnecting the connec ted Cir cle. Gear S oundAliv e Selec t a sound eff ect or adjust the sound effect manually .
Using the Samsung Gear app 24 Notifications Set the device to notify you of missed calls and new messages r eceived on the connected device via voic e notification to the Circle . Y ou can sk ip to the next notification by pressing the Play/T alk key .
Using the Samsung Gear app 25 Using S V oice Set the device to launch S V oice when you pr ess and hold the Play/T alk key on the Circle f or 1 second . T ap V oice con trol and tap the V oice con trol switch to activate it. T o set the device to r eceive or reject calls using voice c ommands, tick Incoming calls .
26 Appendix T roubleshooting Befor e contacting a Samsung Ser vice Centre , please attempt the follo wing solutions. Some situations may not apply t o your Cir cle. Y our Circle does not turn on When the battery is completely discharged , your Cir cle will not tur n on.
Appendix 27 Bluetooth c onnec t is often disconnected • Ensure ther e are no obstacles between the devices , the operating distance may be reduced . • Ensure that y our Circle and the other Bluetooth device ar e within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m ).
Appendix 28 Removing the ba tter y (non-remo vable type) • These instructions are only for y our ser vice provider or an authorised repair agen t. • Damage or faults caused by the unauthorised remo val of the battery are not cov ered by the warranty .
