18 Connecting to a TV • Alwa ys turn off the D VD Play er and TV bef ore you connect an y cables . T o view video with a TV Caution • If y ou wish to view video on y our TV only , close the display panel of y our D VD pla yer . Pla yback will continue , but y ou still will be able to use the remote to control the D VD play er .
19 T o home pow er outlet Important! • Alwa ys turn off the D VD play er before connecting or disconnecting the A C cord. • Be sure to use the supplied A C adapter . Using a different type of adapter ma y cause malfunction or damage to the product.
20 Using the AC adapter Important! • Alwa ys turn off the D VD play er when inser ting or removing the AC adapter . • Bef ore storing the batter y pack, make sure it is completely dr ained. • Be sure to recharge the batter y at least once e very six months to ensure proper batter y life .
21 Using the battery pack Important! • When inser ting the batter y pack, make sure that it is inserted correctly . Otherwise, y our D VD play er ma y malfunction. Use the A C adapter (included) to charge the batter y pack. • Bef ore charging, make sure that the battery pack is correctly seated.
22 Playing a Disc After plugging in the pla yer , the first time you press the PO WER b utton, this screen comes up: Press the UP/DO WN buttons to select the language , and then press the ENTER button. (This screen will only appear when you plug in the pla yer f or the first time.

Using the Search & Skip Functions Searc hing through a Chapter or T rack During play , you can search quic kly through a chapter or trac k or use the skip function to jump to the ne xt selection. During play , press the SKIP ( or ) b utton on the remote.
Using the Display Function When Playing a D VD/VCD/CD 1. Press the INFO button during pla yback. 2. Use the UP/DO WN buttons to select the desired item. 3. Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to mak e the desired setup , then press ENTER. 4. T o make the screen disappear , press the INFO button again.

28 Repeat Play Repeat the current trac k, chapter , title, a chosen section (A-B), or all of the disc. 1. Press the REPEA T bu tton on the remote. Repeat screen appears. 2. Select Chapter , Title or A-B using the LEFT/RIGHT buttons. • Chapter ( ) : repeats the chapter that is playing.
29 Slow Repeat play This f eature allows y ou slowly to repeat scenes containing spor ts, dancing, musical instruments being pla yed etc. so you can study them more closely . 1. During play , press the P A USE ( ) button on the remote. 2. By pressing the button, you can select slo w motion play f or 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 of nor mal speed.
