Assembling 15 Inser t the SIM or USIM card When you subscribe to a c ellular ser vice, y ou will receive a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, with subscription details, such as y our personal identification number (PIN) and optional ser vices .
Assembling 16 Charge the ba tter y Before using the devic e for the first time , you must charge the battery . Charge the battery only with a charger .
Assembling 17 Connect the USB cable to the USB pow er adapter and 1 then plug the end of the USB cable into the multifunction jack. Connecting the USB cable improperly may cause serious damage to the device or USB pow er adapter . Any damage caused b y misuse is not cov ered by the warrant y .
Assembling 18 W he n the ba tt ery is ful ly ch ar ge d , fir st unp lu g t he USB 3 cable from the device , and then unplug the USB power adapter from the electrical socket.
Assembling 19 Inser t a memor y card (optional) Y our device accepts microSD ™ or microSDHC ™ memor y cards with maximum capacities of 32 GB (depending on the memor y card manufacturer and type). Samsung uses approv ed industr y standards f or memor y cards , but some brands may not be fully compatible with your device .
Assembling 20 Push the memory card into the memory card slot until it 3 locks in place. Close the cov er of the memor y card slot. 4 Remov e a memor y card › Ensure that the devic e is not currently accessing the memory ca rd. In the application list, select 1 Settings → S torage → Unmount SD card → OK .
21 Getting star ted Getting star ted T urn on or off y our device T o turn on your device , press and hold the Po wer key . If you are turning on your devic e for the first time , follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device .
22 Getting star ted F or optimal use of the touch screen, remov e the ● screen pr otection film before using y our device. Y our touch screen has a layer tha t detects small ● electrical charges emitted by the human body . F or best per formance , tap the touch screen with y our finger tip .
23 Getting star ted Double -tap T ap an item twice quickly . Flick Brisk ly scroll up , down, left, or right to move thr ough lists or screens. Pinch Place two of y our fingers far apar t, and then pinch them together . Y our device turns off the touch screen when you do ● not use it for a specified period.
24 Getting star ted Lock or unlock the t ouch screen and the ke ys When you do not use the devic e for a specified period, y our device turns off the touch screen and locks the t ouch screen and the keys automatically t o preven t unintended operations .
