Section 2 Specifications of the SH7710 E10A Emulator’ s Software 2.1 Differences between the SH7710 and the Emulator 1. When the em u lator system is in itiated , it initializes the ge n eral register s an d part of the control registers as s hown in table 2.
3. Low-Power States (Sleep, S oftware Standby, a nd Module S tandby) For low-power consumpti on, the SH 7710 has s leep, softwar e standby, a nd modul e standb y states. The sleep, software st andby, and mo dule standby s tates are switched us ing the SLEEP instruction.
8. Cache Operation during User Program Break When cache is enabled, t he emulator accesses the memory by the f ollowing methods: At memory write: Writes t hrough the cache, t hen writes to the memory. At memory read: Does not c hange the cache write mode that has been set.

2.2 Specific Functions for the SH7710 E10A Emulator 2.2.1 Emulator Dr iver Selection Table 2.3 show s drivers which are selected i n the [E10A Dri ver Detail s] dialog b ox.
2.2.2 Break Conditio n Function s In addition to BREAKPOINT functions, the e mulator has B reak Condition functions. Three types of conditions can be set under Break Condition 1, 2, 3. Tabl e 2.4 lists these conditions of B reak Conditi on. Table 2.
Table 2.5 lists the combi nations of conditions that can be set under Break Condition 1, 2, 3. Table 2.5 Di alog Boxes f or Setti ng Break C ondition s Type Dialog Box Address Bus Condition (Addres.
AUD Trace Functions: This fun ction is operational wh en the AUD pin of the d evice is connected to the emulator. Table 2.8 shows th e AUD trace acq uisition mode that can b e set in each trace function.
To set the AUD trace acquisition mode, click the [Trace] window with the right mouse but ton and select [Setting] from the pop-u p menu to display the [Acquisition] dialog box. The AUD trace acquisition mode can be s et in the [AUD mode1] o r [AUD mode2] group box i n the [Tra ce mode] page of the [Acq uisiti on] dialog box .
(a) Branch Trace Function The branch source and dest ination address es and their source l ines are displa yed. Branch trace can be acquire d by selecting the [Branc h trace] check b ox in the [AUD function] group box of the [Trace mo de] page. The branch type can be selected in the [AUD Branch trace] page.
Figure 2.3 [W indow trace] Page Notes: 1. When the [L - bus] o r [I-bus] radio button is selected , the following b us cycles will be traced. • L-bus: A bus cycl e generated by the CP U is acquired. A bus cycle i s also acquired when the cache has been hit.
(c) Software Trace Function Note: This function ca n be su pported wit h SHC/C ++ compiler (manufacture d by Renes as Technology Corp .; includin g OEM and bu ndle prod ucts) V7.0 o r later. When a specific instruction is executed, the PC value at exec ution and the contents of one general register are acquire d by trace.
9. For the AUD non-realtime trace, the written access may be executed again. If this is a problem on the user system, do not use the non-realtime trace. Internal Trace Function: This function is activated by selecting the [I nternal trace] radio button in the [Trace type] group box of the [Trace mode] pa ge.

Conditions set at Break Condit ion 2 are dis abled when a n inst ruction to which a BREAKPOINT has b een set is executed. Do not set a BREAKPOI NT to an instruction in which Break C ondition 2 is sa tisfied.
