1 1. S af ety Thank you f or buying a Rangemaster cooker . It should give y ou many years of tr ouble -fr ee cooking if installed and operated corr ectly. It is important that you read this section before you start, par ticularly if y ou have not used an induction cooker before .
2 Use dry oven glo ves when applicable – using damp gloves migh t result in steam burns when y ou touch a hot sur fac e. Do not use a to wel or other bulky cloth in place of a glov e – it might catch fire if brought int o contact with a hot sur fac e.

4 ArtNo.313-0003 1 10 Induction hob display � � � � � Make sure that the base of the pan is clean and dry to prevent any residue burning ont o the hob panel. This also helps prevent scr atches and deposits. Always use pans that ar e the same size as (or slightly larger than) the areas marked on the hob .
5 Once the [ A ] is displayed , tur n the c ontrol knob to the level of your choice (1 to 9). The pan will heat up at 100% po wer for a specifi ed time befor e the power is reduc ed to the level selected.
6 Once the grill has preheat ed, slide the carriage out again. With the trivet back in plac e with the food on it, slide the carriage back into the grill chamber . Ensure that it is pushed right in. Acc essible par ts may be hot when the grill is in use .
7 The Clock Setting the time of day The L CD clock is shown in (Fig .2-13) . When the clock is first connected, the display flashes ( 0.00 ) and ( ) alternat ely . T o set the time, turn and hold the Timer knob to the clock symbol ( ) and at the same time turn the Adjusting knob left or right until the clock shows the time of da y .
8 If you are out, do not worry about the beeper going off – it will stop on its own after a while. When you return, turn the Timer knob to the vertical ( ) to return to manual cooking.

12 4. F an Oven C ook ing T able The oven contr ol settings and cooking times given in the table below are intended t o be used AS A GU ID E ON L Y . Individual tastes may require the temperature t o be altered to provide a preferred result. F ood is cooked at low er temperatur e in a fan oven than in a con ventional oven.
13 5. Cleaning Y our C o ok er Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Allow the c ooker to cool. Never use pain t solvents , washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt .

15 Door P anel Open the oven door slightly and r emove the fr ont panel fixing screws fr om the door sides, two each side (F ig.5-7) . Carefully lift off the outer door panel. The inside face of the glass panels can now be cleaned – take care not to disturb or wet the door insulation.
16 6. T roubleshooting Inter f erence with and r epairs to the hob by unqualified persons are not allow ed. Do not try and repair the hob as this may result in injury and damage the hob.
17 The ov en is not cooking evenly If you are cooking a large item, be prepar ed to turn it round during cooking. If two racks are used, check that spac e has been left for the heat to circulat e. When a baking sheet is put into the oven, make sur e it is placed centrally on the rack.

20 Low er the T wo Rear Rollers F irst fit the levelling tool on the hexagonal adjusting nut (Fig .7-5) . Make 10 complete (360º) turns clockwise (Fig .7-6) . ( This means turning and removing the levelling t ool 20 times.) Make sure you low er BO TH REAR ROLLERS.
21 Elec trical C onnec tion The cooker must be installed by a qualified electrician, in accordanc e with all relevant British Standards/C odes of Practice (in particular BS 7671), or with the relevant national and local regulations. W ARNING: THE APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
