6 Residual Heat Indicat or , H After use, a cooking zone will remain hot f or a while as heat dissipates. When a cooking zone is switched o the r esidual heat indicator symbol [ H ], will appear in the display . This shows that the cooking zone tempera ture is above 60 °C and may still cause burns.
7 Low T emperature S etting, L1 / L2 Each cooking area is equipped with 2 low temperatur e settings: • L1 will maintain a temperatur e of about 40 °C – ideal for gently melting butter or chocolat e.

9 The Ov ens The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the left- hand oven will w ork. See the following section on ‘ The Clock’ for instructions on setting the time of day . References to ‘ left-hand’ and ‘right-hand’ ovens apply as viewed from the front of the appliance .
10 Con ventional Oven (T op and Base Heat) This function combines the heat from the top and base elements. It is particular ly suitable for roasting and baking pastr y , cakes and biscuits.

14 T o Start and Stop the Multifunction Oven The Multifunction Oven allows you to automa tically star t and stop by a combination of the length of the c ook ing time and the stop time. Giving y ou the exibilty to cook casseroles etc while you are out.

18 5. Cleaning Y our Cook er Essential Informa tion Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Then allo w the cooker to cool. NEVER use paint solvents , washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt.
19 Cleaning Burned-on Spills Make sure that the heat indicator ligh ts are o and that the hob is cool. Remov e the excess burned-on substance with a single -edged razor scraper . Hold the scraper at an angle of about 30° to the surface and then scrape o the burned- on matter (F ig.
20 C ontrol P anel and Doors Av oid using any abrasive cleaners , including cream cleaners, on the control panel . For best r esults, use a liquid detergent. The same cleaner can also be used on the doors. Alt ernatively , use a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapy water .
21 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5-1) are av ailable from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approved f or use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .
