6 POWERING THE CB You can power your TRC-237 from any of these s ourc es (none suppli ed): • Eight AA alkali ne batteri es with the two suppl ied dummy batt er ies • T en rechar geable AA nickel -.

14 Cauti ons: • The powe r suppl y must be able to deli ver 12 vol ts and at leas t 1200 mil- li amps of power . The recom mended power supp ly meet s these specif ica- ti ons. Using a power sup ply that does not meet th ese speci ficati ons coul d dama ge the TRC-237 or th e power supp ly .
15 Note: I f the TRC- 237 does not op er ate when you us e the DC f used cord, turn the power su ppl y off , unpl ug th e co rd fr om the power suppl y’s power sock et, th en clean any debris from the socket . I f your TRC- 237 sti ll does not wor k, check the f use in the DC fuse d cord and r epl ace it if neces - sary.
16 Connecting an Optional Antenna Yo ur w alk ie ta lkie co me s wi th a flex ib le anten na that is ide al for most appl icatio ns. However , the walkie talki e’s antenna j ack mak es it easy to co nnect ot her t ypes of anten nas, too. For mobile or base stat ion use, you mi ght want to con nect an opti on- al ext ernal antenn a.
