Insta ll four AA batter ies in the batt ery compar tment as in di - cated b y the p olarity symbols (+ and –) mark on the back of the recei ver . Pl ace the batteri es on top o f the rib bon so you c an easil y li f t them out later .
6 USING A V EH ICLE BATTERY With a DC adapter (such as Cat. No. 14-844, not suppli ed), you can operat e the receive r in a car, boat, o r rec reational vehicl e equi pped with a 12- volt DC, negat ive-gr ound elec tric al syst em. Inser t th e adapter’ s barre l plug in to the receiver’ s DC 6V jac k.
