Be aware that loose fitting clothing can become caught in drive tires. Avoid exposure to rain, snow, ice, salt, or standing water whenever possible.

Keep in mind that the maximum weight capacity includes the combined weight of the user, seating system, and any accessories mounted to the wheelchair.

You should not operate your wheelchair on public streets and roadways. Be aware that it may be difficult for traffic to see you when you are seated on your wheelchair.

Never use your wheelchair to negotia te steps or escalators. This m ay cause the wheelchair to tip or result in a fa ll and cause severe injury.

16 www.pridemobility.com Litestream Junior III. YOUR WHEELCHAIR USING THE LITESTREAM JUNIOR The Litestream Junior is a manual wheelchair. Either an attendant pushes it, or you move it by gripping the hand-rims (se e figure 5) and turning them in the desired direction of travel .

Remove the depth adjust ment screws that attach the back cane to the side frame on both sides of the wheelchair. See figure 15. 2. Position the back canes so that the desired depth is achieved.

Litestream Junior www.pridemobility.com 23 To remove the SFR: 1. Move the SFR to the side. NOTE: If your wheelchair is equipped with the ultra hemi option, the SFR must be facing forward and not swung to the side for removal. 2. Pull the SFR up. See figure 19.

26 www.pridemobility.com Litestream Junior IV. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS Drop-in Armrest Removal The drop-in armrests can be removed to aid in trans- fers or transporti ng your wheelchair. To remove the armrest: 1. Squeeze the armrest latch. See figure 29. 2.
Litestream Junior www.pridemobility.com 27 Flip-up Armrest Angle Adjustment You can adjust both the la tching and non-latching flip- up armrest angle. To adjust the non-latching flip-up armrest angle: 1. Flip up the armrest. 2. Turn the adjusting screw to raise or lower the front of the armrest.
28 www.pridemobility.com Litestream Junior Seat Angle (Dump) Adjustment The position of the caster wheels affects the angle (dump) of the seat. By changing the location of the caster wheel on the fork, you change the seat angle. See figure 34. NOTE: You can also adjust the seat angle by raising or lowering the drive wheel.
Litestream Junior www.pridemobility.com 29 Caster Angle Adjustment When you change th e seat angle, you must also change the caster angle so that the caster forks remain at a 90° angle to the ground based on th e side of the caster fork. See figure 35.
30 www.pridemobility.com Litestream Junior IV. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS Positioning Belt Your wheelchair may be equipped with a positioning belt that can be adjusted for operator comfort. See fig- ure 37. The positioning belt is designed to support the operator so that he/she does not slide down or forward in the seat.
Litestream Junior www.pridemobility.com 31 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Your Litestream Junior re quires routine maintenance checks. You can perform some of these checks, but others require assistance from your Quantum Rehab Provider. Preventive maintenance is very important.

Your wheelchair has a painted finish that allows it to be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. WARNING! Never use any chemicals to clean a viny l seat, as they may cause the seat to become slippery or dry out and crack .
