06656 1 Intr odu ction Ke yboard W edge Mode As a keyboard wedge interface, the PSC scanner can be used with ter- minals provided by most of the major terminal manufactur ers. In most cases, th e PSC scanner is ea sily connecte d between the key- boar d and display of the terminal.

Serial TTL Mode Ser ial TTL is a seri al com munica tions inte rfac e that us es TTL/ CMOS voltage levels ranging fr om 0 to 5 volts.

06656 17 CTS Like XON/XO FF protocol, CTS protocol is a mechanism used to con- trol da ta flow out. The CTS input is used to inform the scanner that the host terminal is r eady to accept scann ed data. When CTS (+) pr o- tocol is selected , the scanner waits for a lo w level on its CTS input befor e transmitting data.

W it h Full Buffering (the default) selected, the scanner will place all scanned labels into a buffer for transmissi on. This allo ws the operator to con- tinue scanning even though the pr evious label may not have been transmitted yet.
