Chapter 2: Installation and Set up 7 Installi ng Disk Drives Y ou can pop ulate the Sm artS tor NS4300N with SA T A 1.5 Gb/s or 3.0 Gb/s disk drives. For optimal p erformance, i nstall disk drives of t he same model and cap acity . Y our disk d rives will beco me a RAID V olume on the SmartS tor .

If your PC has multip le network conne ctions, you must ensure t hat the SmartS tor , NAS Setup Wizard, and S m artSYNC uti lity are all connected to the same network.
