Chapter 1 Getting St art ed The P20 con sole offers admin istrators and members the abili ty to set defaul ts that meet their specific need s. Activating the Console fo r Sel f - Powered Equipme nt Preco r equipm ent is eith er se lf - powered or externally powered using an optional power adapter.
14 Operating and Maintaining the P20 Con sole Optional Use of the Power Adapter An optional AC power ada pter provides sustained power to the equipment. This adapt er allows you to change se ttings without having to pedal the e quipment. To purchase the power adapt er, con tact y our dea ler.
Chapter 2 Setting Up the Console Use the System mode to configure settings in ways th at benefit your users and your facility. The System menu is visi ble on ly to adm inist rat ors a nd re giste red s erv ice technicians. Changes made to these settings are saved to the fitness eq uipment.

Setting Up the Co nsole 19 Event Log The software is able to detect a variety of events. The event log holds a maximum of 30 events. After the log reaches 30 events, older events are erased to make room for newer ones. Note: There i s a short cut for quick access to the Event Log report.

These programs are designed to raise and lower your heart rate i n a repeating fashion for a user - defined period of time by alternating rest and wor k intervals.
Program s 41 Basic Heart Rate Control This program computes yo ur target heart rate based on the calculation, 60% of 220 m inus your age. The e quipment adjusts res istance and/o r incl in e to maintai n your target heart rate while you work out.

Pull the end of the cable upward through the op ening just behind the lift motor, as shown in the previous illustration. 9. Attach the cable to the appropriate connector inside the base of the EFX, as shown in the following illus tration and table.
Assembling the EFX 23 11. Replace the central plastic base cover, then attach the four buttonhead screws you removed along with the cover. Tighten th e screws completely.

Assembling the EFX 25 3. Check alignments and thread the remaining four center column support scr ews, four ⁵₁₆ - inch washers, and four split washers. Tighten with a ³₁₆ - inch hex key so the assemblies come together, but leave room for adjustments.

Assembling the EFX 27 To attach the handleb ars: Importan t: Attach one handlebar at a time. 1. Use a ³₁₆ - inch hex wrench to loosen the two screws in the handlebar clamp. Refer to the following illustration for the location of these faste ners.

Insert the right handlebar into the handlebar clamp until the foam grip touches the side of th e handlebar clamp. 4. Chapter 2 Installing the Console To make installation easier, all Precor Experience Series consoles use the same mounting ha rdware and connector locations wheneve r possible.

The tuner includes a short cable adapter that allows the television cable to be connected outside the back plate.
Installing the Console 39 Connecting the Ethernet and Base Unit Data Cables Both the Ethernet and base unit data c ables pass through the cutaway opening at the upper right corner of the back plate and connect to nearby modula r jacks in the console. Because of this, it is important to exercise caution when connecting the cables.

Installing the Console 41 Completing the Console Insta llation (P80) Importan t: To allow e nough room to atta ch the console ’ s back cover, you must lo osen the bracket holding the up per ends of the handlebars in place. If you do not loosen the bracket, the co ver may break.

Chapter 3 Maint enanc e To keep the equipment functioning properly, perform the minor maintenance tasks in this section at the intervals shown on the maintenance checklist. Failure to maintain the equipment as described in this section could void the Precor Limited Warranty.

Maintenance 51 Weekly Maintena nce Perform the following maintenance tasks every week: 1. Disconnect the external power supply. 2. Clean the ramps and wheels with water or an approved cleaner. 3. Inspect the power cord to verify that it is not pinched under the equipment or between any two moving parts.

Clean and lubricate the lift motor screw with an approved grease such as S uperLube® with Teflon® or Mobil 1® synthetic grease (adjustable - ramp models only).

This in cludes units equ ipped with P30 or P2 0 consoles. However, P80 co nsoles must be co nnected to AC po wer through their power s upplies to operate.

Self- Powered Features 55 Using the Optional Po wer Adapter After connecting t he power adapter to the equipment, plug the opposite end into the appropriate power source (120 V or 240 V). CAUTION: W hen the opti onal power adapter is in use, m ake sure that the po wer supply cord does not create a safety haz ard.
