- 13 - P l a y b a c k P r e p a r a t i o n s Usage of Switching Power Adapter The player is supplied with a switching power adapter . 1. Connect AC adaptor to t he side of the DV D player in the slot marked “Power In”. 2. Connect the rabbit joi nt end of the AC adaptor to the power cord.
- 14 - Power Supply Using and Charging the B attery Pack Charge the Battery Pack before usi ng it the fi rst time. Charging time is normally between 3-4 hours. Do not charge t he Battery Pack more than 4 hours as it could red uce service life. Normally, the B attery Pack can be charged a pproximately 300 times.
- 15 - D e t a c h i n g B a t t e r y P a c k Detaching Battery Pack from the unit: If the player is not going to be used for a long period of ti me, we recommend th at you detach the Battery Pack. Even if the unit is powered down, the unit is still consuming some power in ST ANDBY mode.

- 21 - S y s t e m S e t u p Region Code The video industry encodes DVDs to cont ain Regional Codes which can b e used t o prevent the playback of c ertain discs depending upon the geographical area it is manufactured, purc hased and played in. The PDV 0700 is set for Region 1.
- 22 - Playback Functions Repeat 1. Repeat a title, chapter or track. Press t he REPEA T button o n the remote control. Continually pressi ng the REPEA T button will display a menu as follo ws: Chapter , Title and All . 2. Y ou can te mporarily mark your own section of a DVD that you wo uld like to play repeatedly .
- 23 - Playback Functions Search by time Y ou can use th e GOTO button to search by time, namely to play from a specific time. During DVD playback, press the GOTO button on ce and TV screen will display the t itle or chapter , then you can use number buttons to select an y one of them.
- 24 - Playback Functions Playing a JPEG JPEG is a common pi cture format that has few bytes and low loss rate of picture. Hundreds of pictures can be stored in a disc in this format. In order to realize real digital album, use film to make ”PICTURE CD”, namely JPEG format.
- 25 - C a r e o f D i s c s How to hold discs When loading or removing disc s, try not to touch their pl aying surfaces. Cleaning Fingerprints or other dirt on th e disc may affect sound a nd picture quality . T o clean yo ur discs, use a soft cl ean cloth to wipe them.
