1. Introduction The ICA-108/108W is a wi red/wireless IR IP Camera. The ICA-108/108W can se nd live video and audio via the internet to a web browser anywh ere in the world. The ICA-108/108W features zero-l ux illumination. The 6 IR illuminat ors built around the lens bring the clearest vision at night.

2.5 IP Wizard When you installed the IR IP Came ra on a LA N environment, you may execute IP Wizard to discover IR IP Camera’s IP addre s s and set up related parameters in the IR IP Camera. NOTE: The ICA-108 install ation steps are similar . Below i s the installation of ICA-108 W .
Wizard Button: When IP Wizard finds your IR IP Camera, Wizard button will become available. Please select the device you would like to c onfigure in the Information Box. T he device will turn into yellow which means this device is selected; please press “ Wi zard ” button.
2.6 Configure With IP Wizard After pressing Inst allation Wizard, please key in Username and Passwo rd of the device when login dialog box appears on the screen.
Wizard Page 2: LAN Setting This page is about the select of Static IP or DHCP ON. LAN: You can configure this IR IP Camera to obtain its address automatically or manually assign. If there is a DHCP serv er in your n etwork environment and you select “ DHCP ON ”, IR IP Camera can automat ically obtain an IP address.

2.8 Setup ActiveX to use the IR IP Camera The IR IP Camera web pages communi cate with t he IR IP Camera using an ActiveX control. The ActiveX control must be downloade d from the IR IP Camera and in stalled on your PC. Your Internet Explorer security settings must allow for the web page to work correctly.

3. Web-based Management This chapter provides setup det ails of the IR IP Came ra’s W eb-based Interface. 3.1 Introduction The IR IP Camera can be configured with your W eb Browser . Before configure, please make sure your PC is under the same IP segment with IR IP Camera.
Web browse r may display the “Security W arming” window , select “Y es” to in stall and run the ActiveX control into your PC. After the ActiveX control was installed and run, the first image will be displayed. NOTE: If you log in the IR IP Camera as an or dinary user , setting function will be not available.

3.4 ActiveX Control The plug-in ActiveX control support s a lot of functions by clicking the lef t mouse button. Note that this feature only support s on the ActiveX c ontrol within Microsof t® Internet Explorer . On the ActiveX control icon, click the Lef tMous eButton, then a menu pop-up.
3.4.1 Digit al Zoom Click Digit al Zoom to active this function as above. User can drag or scale the box over the video to adjust zoom ratio and position. 3.4.2 Record Click Record to activate this function. Press Record button to start recording. The video file is saved as ASF format into your local PC.
3.4.3 Snap shot Click Snap shot to activate this function. Press Snapshot button to t ake a picture. The image file is saved as JPEG format into your local PC. Select Bro w ser , the pop-up window to select the save path and file name prefix, select OK to contin ue.
3.4.5 St atistics Click St atistics to activate this function. A window will be popup to show the st atistics information of the streaming st atus. Note that this information is the st atistics between the device and your local PC.
3.5 Network Use this menu to configure the network to connect the device and the clie nt s. 3.5.1 Network This section provides the menu of co nn ecting the device through Ethernet cabl e. MAC addr ess: Display the Ethernet MAC address of the device. Note that u ser cannot change it.

3.5.3 DDNS server DDNS: Stands for Dynamic Domain Name Server The device supports DDNS. If your device is connected to xDSL directly, you might need this feature. However, if your devic e is behind a NAT router, you will not need to enable this feature.
DDNS: T o enable or disable the DDNS service here. Server name: Choose the built- in DDNS se rver . DDNS Host: The domain name is applied of this device. User Name: The user n a me is used to log into DDNS. Password: The password is used to log into DDNS.
PPPoE: To enable or disable the PPPoE service here. User Name: Type the user name for the PPPoE service which is provided by ISP. Password: Type the password for the PPPoE service which is provided by ISP. IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway: Shows the IP information got from PPPoE server site.
RTSP Port: Choose the RTSP port. The RTSP protocol allows a connecting cli ent to start a video stream. Enter the RTSP port number to use. The default value is 554. RTP Port: Specify the range of transmission port number of video stre am. The default range is 50000 to 50999.
In addition, this device also provides UPnP IGD function for NAT traversal easily. Use NAT traversal when your device is located on an intranet (LAN) and you wish to make it available from the other (WAN) side of a NAT router.
IP Filter: To enable or disable the IP filter function here. IP Filter Policy: Choose the filter policy where is denying or allowing. 3.5.8 IP Notification In case the IP address i s changed, system is abl e to send out a n email to alert someone if the function is enabled.
SMTP Notification (e-mail) If enable this function, then the “ Send to “ and “ Subject ” field need to be filled. Send To Type the receiver ’ s e-mail address. Thi s address is used for reply mail. Subject Type the subject/title of the E-mail.
Proxy Port Set port number of Proxy. Proxy Login Name Type the user name for the HTTP Proxy. Proxy Login Password Type the password for the HTTP Proxy. Custom Parameter User can set specific parameters to HTTP server. Message The message will be sent to HTTP server.
3.6 Camera Use this menu to set the function of the camera of IR IP Camera 3.6.1 Picture Rotation: Turn the “ Mirror ” and “ Vertical Flip ” On or OFF. The image will be overturned as below. White Balance: Auto: will adjust the white balance automatically.
Hold: will hold the white balance. Exposure Control: Auto: will adjust the internal gain automatically. Hold: will hold the internal gain. Power Frequency: User should choose either 50 or 60 Hz to meet the po wer line frequency in your country. Brightness: Large value will brighten IR IP Camera.
3.7 System Use this menu to perform the prin cipal settings of IR IP Camera. 3.7.1 System Device title: You can enter the name of this unit here. It’s very useful to identify the specific device fr om multiple units. Software version: This information shows the softwa re version in the device.
3.7.2 Date & Time Y ou can setup the time setting of IR IP Camera, make it synchronized with P C or remote NTP server . Also, you may select the co rrect time zone of your country .
Start Time: Daylight Saving Stop Time: Sets up the date and time of daylight saving stop time. Daylight Saving Offset: Sets up the date of daylight saving offset. 3.7.3 Maintenance Hard Factory Default (Include the network setting): Recall the device hard factory default settings.

3.8.2 MPEG4/VGA Video T ype: It’ s MPEG4 mode in this profile Resolution: It’s VGA mode (640x480) in this profile Bit rate control: Defines the rate control m ethod of this profile. The re are two options: Constant Bit Rate (CBR) or V ariable Bit Rate (VBR).
3.8.3 MPEG4/QVGA Video T ype: It’ s MPEG4 mode in this profile. Resolution: It’ s QVGA mode (320x240) in this profile. Bit rate control: Defines the rate control m ethod of this profile. There are t wo options: Constant Bit Rate (CB R) or V ariable Bit Rate (VBR).
3.8.4 MPEG4/QQVGA Video T ype: It’ s MPEG4 mode in this profile. Resolution: It’s QQVGA mode (160x120) in this profile. Bit rate control: Defines the rate control method of this profile. The re are two options: Constant Bit Rate (CBR) or V ariable Bit Rate (VBR).
3.8.5 VIDEO/JPEG Video T ype: It’ s JPEG mode in this profile. Resolution: User can select VGA, QVGA, or QQV GA mode as the resolution of this JPEG profile. Rate Control: The quality level is betwe en 1 and 100. The higher value is the better quality .
3.9 Audio Audio: T o enable or disable audio function Audio Mode: T o select Simplex or Full duplex (2 -way audio ) mode Input Gain: T o adjust gain of input audio Output Gain: T o adjust gain of outp.
3.10 User Use this menu to set the user names and p assword of the Administrator and up to 10 users, and access right of each user . Vie wer login: Anonymous: Choose this to enable anonymous user login. Only users in dat abas e: Choose this to disable anonymous user login.
3.1 1 E-Mail You may setup SMTP mail parameters for further operation of Event Schedul e. That’s, if users want to send the alarm message out, it will need to configure parameters here and also add at least one event schedul e to enabl e event triggering.
3.12 Object Detection Use this menu to specify motion detection wind ow 1 to window 4 and set the co nditions for detection while observing a captured image. Add and Del: T o add or delete the motion windows. User can spe cify up to 4 Included and/or Exclude d windows to monitor the video captured by this device.
Sensitivity Defines the sensitivity value of motion detection. The higher value will be more sensitivity . 3.13 Event Server Setup FTP/TCP/HTTP server configuration 3.13.1 FTP Server You may setup FTP parameters for further operation of Event Schedule.
3.13.2 TCP Server In addition to send video file to FTP server, the device also can sen d event message to specified TCP server. Name User can specify multiple TCP server s as wish. Therefore, use r needs to specify a name for each TCP server setting.
3.13.3 HTTP Server The device also can send event mess age to specified HTTP server. Name User can specify multip le HTTP servers as wish. Therefore, user needs to specify a name for each HTTP server setting. URL T ype the server name or th e IP address of the HTTP server .
3.14 Event Schedule This menu is used to specif y the sched ule of Ev ents and activate the some actions provided b y this device. Name: Name of the Event or Schedule. Enable: Enable or disable this Event or Schedule. Ty p e : Schedule start with Event trigger or Schedule trigger .

66 Appendix A: Reset Factory Default Settings There is a button hidden i n the pinhole near to the DC power connector. T his button is used to restore the factory default setti ngs. Sometimes restarting the IC A-108/108W will ma ke the system back to a normal state.
Appendix B: PING IP Address The PING (stands for Pa cket Internet Groper) co mmand is used to detect whether a specific I P address is accessi ble by sending a packet to t he spe cific address and waiting for a reply.
Appendix C: Bandwidth and Video Size Estimation The frame rate of video transmitted from the IR IP Camera depends on connection bandwi dth between client and serve r, video resolution, code c type, and quality setting of server. Here is a guideline to help you roughly estimate the bandwidth requireme nts for your IR IP Camera.

Appendix D: DDNS Application 1. Preface If you have a Cable modem or xDSL, this is a great way to host your own Networked Device or other TCP/IP Service.
