18 S2-4 through S2-5: Clock Mode The Ro cketLink-G ca n operate in one of three clock mod es: internal , external , or receive-reco ver . X.21 operati on. There are a few things to note ab out clock mode s and X.21 ope r ation . — One X.21 mod em must be set to Recei ve-Reco ver .
19 S2-6: DTE Loop s The V .35 interfac e provides t wo pins, one t o request an L AL and the other to request an RDL. If DTE loop s are e nabled, the 3 088RC/A/I will start a local loopback or a remote loop back when the se pins are asserte d. If DTE loop s are disabl ed, these req uests wil l be ignored.
20 Sof tware Upgrades The sof tware i s upgraded by waiting for the Res et Mode m essage. The n, the use r can send an Intel HEX fil e supplied by Patton. After t he VT100 emulato r has fini shed sendi ng this fi le, the 3088R C will resp ond with a mes-sa ge sta ting how many errors were detected.
