12 VQT4U69 2 Insert the battery , tak ing care to m atch up the t erminal markings. A terminal markings ≥ Insert the battery so that the terminal markings face up. It is possible to mistakenly insert the battery upside down, so be sure to check the orientation carefully .
VQT4U69 13 Charging the battery The unit is in th e standby condition when th e AC adaptor is conn ected. The primary ci rcuit is always “live” as long as the AC adaptor is connec ted to an electr ical outlet . Important: ≥ The AC adap t or a nd USB cable are for use w ith this unit only .
14 VQT4U69 1 Connect t he USB cabl e to the AC adap tor . ≥ Check that the plug portion of the AC adaptor is not misaligned. 2 Connect t he AC adaptor into the AC outle t. 3 Connect t he USB cabl e to the unit. ≥ Connecting the USB cable in the wrong direction may cause damage to the USB/A V terminal of the unit.
