VQT2 A61 20 Preparation Attaching the Lens Hood In bright sunlight or bac klight, the lens hood will minim ize lens flare and ghost ing. The lens hood cuts of f excess lighting and improves the picture quality . • Check that the camera is tur ned off .

VQT2 A61 22 Preparation ∫ When the [CHARGE] indicator flashes • The bat tery temperat ure is excessively h igh or low . The charging ti me will be longer than normal. Als o, charging may not be completed . • The ter minals of the cha rger or the batter y are dirty .

If the recordin g interval time becomes l onger , the number of recorda ble pictures decreases. [e.g. When recording once every 2 minutes, the number of recordable pictures decreases to ab out 75.
VQT2 A61 24 Preparation Inserting /Removing the B attery • Check that this unit is tu rned off . • Close the flash. Slide the r el eas e le ve r in th e d irecti on of the arrow (OPEN side) and then open the battery door . • Always use genuine Panasonic batteries (DMW-BLB13PP).
25 VQT2 A61 Preparat ion Using the AC Adaptor Y ou can us e the camera witho ut worrying about battery discharge when it is connected to a PC or a printer if you use the DC c able to connect the camera to the ba ttery charger/AC adaptor and connect the AC cable.

VQT2 A61 46 Basic When the camera identifies the optimum scene, the icon of t he scene concerned is displayed in blue for 2 seconds, after which it s color changes to the usual red. • [ ¦ ] is set if none of the scenes are applicable , and the st andard settin gs are set.

VQT2 A61 64 Advanced (Recor ding picture s) ∫ About t he His togram A histogram is a graph that displays brightness along the horizontal axis (black to w hite) and the num ber of pixels at each br ightness level on the vertical axis. It allows you t o easily check a picture’s exposure.
