1. Introduction Welcome to D rumXtrem e TM , the next generation in digital music play ing and recording instrum ents. With the DrumXtrem e you w ill be able to play the back beat to your favorite m usic, or create, play, and record y our own m usic.

Next, in t he SEARCH FOR (LOCAT E) DRIVER FILES screen, sel ect the device where the Drum Xtreme USB driver can be found (the DrumXtrem e’s USB driver resides on the Digital Drum software CD).

I f this screen is displayed, click on Yes to restart the system . Windows Settings Change Message If the abov e screen is not displayed, the system does not need to be restarted.

First is a discussion of what you need to do before starting the prog ram, followed by a discussion of the operation of the program .

To improv e the efficiency of DrumXtrem e software, and also to insure that your drum-beats can be sy nchronized to m usic playing on the CD-ROM, please close other software program s that normally run in the background (such as Anti-v irus program s or other monitoring software).

Use the previous and next buttons to select the music track desired from the music CD . The name of m usic track will be displayed in the central window (F) of the gam e m enu.

Six colum ns of red, orange, yellow, g reen, blue, and purple will appear on the monitor in the gam e picture.

DrumXtreme allows y ou to expand your drum set to add 1 more pad (Pad 6) and/or to add 1 to 2 m ore pedals (Pedal 8 & Pedal 10) to your configuration.
