INTRODUCTION The BNC series of signal con nection boxes have been desig ned as univ ersal interfaces f or the DAS fam ily of analog I/O boards. T he BNC-08DI accepts u p to 8 differential pairs of analog inpu ts w hile the BNC- 16SE and the BNC- 16DI can accept up to 64 sing le end ed or 3 2 differ ential analo g inputs.
BNC-08DI The BNC-08D I incorporates 16 f ront panel m ounted BNC con nectors prov iding up to 8 dif feren tial analog i nputs to the C IO-DA S family of data acquisition boards. B1-B16 The 16 front panel mounted BNC connectors B1-B16, are routed through the enclosure to the rear panel-mounted 37 D connector P2.
EXTERNAL TRIGGER The EXTERNAL TRIGGER BNC con nectors B17 and B18 are provided for application s that requ ire external digital triggering of t he data acquisition board. These connectors could also be used in applications requiring synchronization to the digital trigger si gnal.
BNC-16DI The BNC-16 DI incorpor ates 16 front panel mounted BNC’s allowing connection of up to 8 d ifferential analog inputs to the CIO-DAS and PCI family of data acquisition board s.
. . P1 The front panel m ounted DB37 connector P1 provides a variety of I/O sig nals, n ot including the 16 analog input signals from BNC’s B1-B16. P lease refer to the P1 CONNECTOR MAP section for a detailed explanation of P1’s connection schem e and signal availability.
EXTERNAL TRIGGER The EXTERNAL TRIGGER BNC con nectors B17 and B18 are provided for application s that requ ire external digital triggering of t he data acquisition board. These connectors could also be used in applications requiring synchronization to the digital trigger si gnal.
Headers P6 and P7 are factory set to the “1-2” position, pre-config uring B15 and B16 as analog input BNC’s. For those applicati ons w hich require D/A outputs along with B15 and B16 to be used in the an alog input m ode; the user can leave B15 and B16 in the an a log input mode and access the D/A outputs at connector P1.
BNC-16SE The BNC-16S E incorporates 16 front panel mou nted BNC’s allow ing connect ion of u p to 16 singl e-ended an alog inpu ts to th e CIO-DAS an d PCI family of data acquisition boards.
