IP Softphone 2050 Settings 64 Pr ofiles Use profiles to configure the IP Soft phone 2050 . Using profiles , you can keep multiple IP Softphone 2050 configuration s on the same computer. When you make chan ges to an y featur e or fun ction, the changes affect only the current profile.
IP Softphone 2050 Settings 65 Modifying pr ofile names To modify a profile na me: 1. From the list of prof iles, select th e profile that you want to modify. 2. Click Modify Name . The Profile Name text box ope ns, with the name of th e profile highlighted.

IP Softphone 2050 Settings 73 Select the Override communic ation server values to adjust the following values: •J i t t e r • Highwater Mark • Early Packet Resyn c • Late Packet Resync Jitter Though voice frames are transmitted at a fixed rate, some frames arrive faster or slower tha n others.
IP Softphone 2050 Settings 74 Both resync values must be set at least fiv e times the Highw ater Mark. Calculate the resync value s using the following formula: frame size x highwater mark x 2. The frame size refers to the number of milliseconds per frame.

Modifica tion lets you shorten or eliminate superfluous langua ge picked up by the scr een-reading so ftware.
