Depending on the country or region of purchase, either two alkalin e batteries or two EN-MH1 rech argeable batter- ies with an MH-71 battery charger are in cluded with p urcha se of the camera.

26 Basic Photography and Playback: L (Auto) Mode Using the Flash The flash menu will help you to set the flash mode best suited the shooting conditions. The flash has a range of 0.5–5.5 m (1 ft. 7.7 in.–18 ft. 0.5 in.) when the camera is zoomed out all th e way.
