If Calling Party Name is not available then the calling party number will appear in the display (onl y for Mode 2* systems).
8 Sear ching the Dir ectory by Name: ♦ While in a standby state, pre ss the Scr oll S key . PS III displays: ♦ Key in the first few letters of the Person’ s last name and then push the down key . The PS III will display names that start with those letters.
9 T o Sear ch Speed Dial Number by Entering Number: ♦ Key in the speed dial number-0 through 9. ♦ Press L1 or L2* to dial the number or press Scroll key to scroll through the list of speed dial entries.
10 T O T RANSFER A C ALL While you are sp eaking on the p hone, the PSIII will display: NOTE: If Calling Party Name is not available then the calling party number will appear in the display for Mode 2* systems. ♦ If you wish to transfer th is call, press TRF key .
11 K EYPAD L OCK Allows you to carry y our phone without fear t hat buttons may be inadvertentl y pushed, activating the phone. T o Lock Keypad: ♦ Press HOLD key and ho ld it down for more than two seconds. For Mode 2* systems, PSIII displays: NOTE: After locking the keypad keys, you can still r eceive incoming calls.

20 T o Disable Incoming Ca ll V ibration Notifica- tion: ♦ Press the FNC key → 3 → 1 → 2 . PSIII displays: ♦ Select [2] Off, then press the FNC key or 2 . S ERVICE A LARM Enables you to know when you are in an area wi thout service, or if the battery is ru nning low .
21 C ONFIRMATION T ONE Enables you t o hear a tone that lets you know that yo u made an error or for confirming t hat you entered information properly . T o T urn On Confirmation T one: ♦ Press the FNC key → 3 → 1 → 4 . PSIII displays: ♦ Select [1] On, then press the FNC key or 1 to turn on Confirma tion T one for Mode 2* systems.

NOTE: This will also pr event all access to the dir ectory , (i.e. view , add, edit or delete). W ARNING: Using Reset All will delete all numbers in the dir ectory even if Pr otect Directory is on.
