5 KEYPAD CONTROLS & INDIC ATORS Window . Lights indic ate system status messa ges; digit displa y indicat es related zone, function or error message numbers. STATUS Light. Light s (green) to indicate that the system is ready for arming. If a zone is not secured the light will be off and the zone will display in the w ind ow.

9 ARMING ST AY: PROTECTING YOURSEL F AT HOME Emer gency Butto ns (Only available if programmed) The Blue Emergency Butto ns ( 7 , 8 & 9 ), if programmed, are always act ive, whether t he system is a rmed or disa rmed. The emergenc y signal will onl y be tran smitted when an Emergenc y Button and G are pressed at the same time.
10 T U R N I N G O F F T H E AL AR M ( D I S AR M I N G ) W H E N R E T U R N I N G Disarming the Sy ste m 1. Enter your premises thro ugh the Entry/Exit door. The keypad will sound a ste ady tone to remind you to dis arm the system before your Entry D e lay time expires.
11 FIRE PROTECTION (Applicable only where local ordinanc e pe rmits use of this alarm cont rol panel for fire protection). Fire-Z one Alarm If a f ire is detected, the FIRE/TBL light will display with the zone number and the keypad sounder will pulse.
12 FIRE PROTECTION Preparing a Fire Escape Plan Even with the most advanced fire alarm system, ad equate protection requires an escape plan. To prepare your plan, draw floor plans of your building. (Space i s provided on the next page). Show two exits - a front or back door and a w in dow from each room.

14 FIRE PROTECTION Although a fire alarm system may be of a reliable and state-of- the- art design, neither it nor its peripheral detection dev ices can offer guaranteed protection against f ire.
15 FUNCTION MENU The keypad can provide access to a w ide assortment of utility functions. The functions are displayed in a prompting “YES/NO” format. 1. To enter the Functio n Menu, press R . • In all UL-listed or high-s ecurit y installations, a valid User Code m ust first be entered followed by R .
16 FUNCTION MENU 4. Display System Troubles? Display s a 1- or 2-digit error code representing a problem detected in the s ystem. (S ee SYSTEM TROUBLE ERROR CODES f or a descripti on of th ese cod es). Us e NEXT( P ) and PRIOR ( Q ) to scroll system troubles.
17 FUNCTION MENU 9. Re set Syst em Troubl e? Syste m troubles display and sound at the k eypad. Correcting the trouble will cl ear most indications, however the follow ing error codes w ill require manu al reset: E11; E13; E1 9; E20 an d E22. (See SYS TEM TROUBLE ERROR CODES for a des cription of e rror codes.
18 FUNCTION MENU 15. A ctivate Telephone Test? (Tel ephone Test p rogr amme d? YES NO). Sends a communicator test to the ce ntral station. A communicatio n failure w ill be indicated at the keypad by a sy ste m trouble “E03-00” display .
19 FUNCTION MENU 17. Activate Program? Activates the Pro gram Mode from Keypad No. 1. Note: This feature is disabled while arm ed. (See PROGRAMMING USER CODES) 18. Activate Down load? For installer's use only. If accidentally enabled, press C to exit.

21 A DV A NCED FEA TURES Security By pass/Unbypass (Securit y Bypass programmed? YES NO). In high-s ecurity application s, zones may be bypass ed (or unbypassed ) only if a v alid code is entered f irst, as follows: 1. Enter a User Code valid for bypass, then press B .
22 PROGRAMMING USER CODES Your Installer has programmed into your system a special User Program Code which can be used to not only Arm and Disarm the system, but also to enter the User Prog ram Mode, w h ere you can program other User Codes. The following explains how y ou will u se this code to program or erase additional User Codes.
23 PROGRAMMING USER CODES Exiti ng the User Progr am M ode When you ha ve com pleted programming or erasing User Codes, press C to exit the Us er Prog ram M ode. Programming Example: Example. 27 SYSTEM TROUBLE ERROR CODES Your control pane l is capable of detecting a variety of troubles that may affect system performan ce. In the unlikely event t hat a problem should occur, the SYS TBL (system trouble) light will display in the keypad window along with one or more of the following erro r codes .

31 TROUBLESHOOTING What do I do if... For more info... I try to arm my system but the keypad just displays a P and beeps at me. If the green STATUS light is off, a zone is open. Refer to the Pull Up Zone Directory and find and secure the open window or door.
