00-02-0605 - 12 - Rev 09-10-08 Setting Up the Display The screen may be configu red to display a single engi ne parameter (1-up display), o r four parame ters at on ce (4-up display). Default options a re provided or you may cust omize the display by selecting the parameters you want.
00-02-0605 - 13 - Rev 09-10-08 1-Up Display Settings 1. Touch Menu and use the Arro w Keys to highlight SETUP 1-UP DISPLAY, then press Enter . 2. To select US E DEFAULT S, highlight the option and press Enter . A message indicating “RES TORED TO DEFAULTS” is displayed.

00-02-0605 - 19 - Rev 09-10-08 Backlight Adjustment ADJUST BACKLIGHT allows you to se lect the de sired backlight intensity. Contrast Adjustment From ADJUST CO NTRAS T, you may select the desi red contrast intensity. Select Units From SELECT UNITS, you may select how information is displayed.
00-02-0605 - 20 - Rev 09-10-08 Faults and Warnings The PowerView provides two means fo r detecting faults and warnings: visual LEDs on the casing (Se e “Faceplate Features”) and fault indicat ors on the display.
00-02-0605 - 21 - Rev 09-10-08 Auxi liar y Ga ge Fa ult Murphy’s PVA Gages can be atta c hed to the PowerView. If an auxiliary gage should fail, the 1-up or 4-up displ ay will be replaced with the fault messag e “GAGE NOT RESPONDING”. NOTE : The fault can only be cleare d by correcting the cause of the fault condition.
00-02-0605 - 22 - Rev 09-10-08 Acknowledging Fault Codes 1. To acknowledge and hide the fault and return to the 1-up or 4-up displ ay, touch Enter . The display will return to the 1-up or 4-up displ ay, but the display wil l contain the shutdown icon .
00-02-0605 - 23 - Rev 09-10-08 Utilities Menu The following steps ta ke place starting a t the UTILITIES menu option. 1. GAGE DATA - View information for optional co nnected PVA gages. 2. REMOVE ALL GAGES - Reset the PowerView's gage memory. 3. SOFTWARE VERSION - View the PowerView's software version.
00-02-0605 - 24 - Rev 09-10-08 being used. Most engi ne ECU’s use Versi on 4, therefore in most cases a djustme nt of this men u option will not be required.
00-02-0605 - 25 - Rev 09-10-08 Modbus ® Setup 1. From the UTILITIES menu, select MODBUS SETUP. 2. Select either the SLAVE ACTIVE (SCADA or remote Modbus mast er) or MASTER ACTIVE (auxiliary gage s) modes. Touc h Enter to toggle bet ween master a nd slave.
00-02-0605 - 26 - Rev 09-10-08 Selecting Engine ECU 1. From the UTILITIES menu, choose SEL ECT ENGINE ECU. 2. The message “LISTEN TO ECU: ALL” is displaye d as the default setting, and indicate s the PV101 is listening to all devices on the network.

00-02-0605 - 28 - Rev 09-10-08 “NO STOR ED CODE S” is d isp la yed The PowerView sent a request to the ECU for Sto red Fault Code (DM2) informatio n, and the ECU respond ed. There are zero stored codes. “NO GAGE DATA” is display ed The PowerView has no re cord of gages connecte d to the RS485 bus.

Or (PV101 only) F UEL LEVEL has been selecte d for display, ANALOG INP UT ha s bee n set to FUEL LEVEL, but no Murphy Fuel Sender has been connected to the analog in put.
