3-2 Config uring the Host Adapter 3.2 Starting the SCSI BIOS Configuration Utility If you have SC SI BIOS ve rsion 4.xx , and it includes the Symbio s SCSI BIOS Con figurati on Utility , you can ch ange the de fault conf iguration of your S CSI hos t adap ters.
Start ing the SCSI B IOS Conf igura tion U tility 3-3 Important: Thi s SCSI BIOS Configurati on Utility i s a powerful tool . If, while usi ng it, you so mehow disabl e all of your controllers, pressing Ctrl-A (or C trl-E on versi on 4.04 or la ter) after memory ini tializatio n during reboot al lows you to re-en able and rec onfigure.

If these setti ngs are alter ed, the sys tem will reboot after the Qu it option is se lected, whic h allows the user to e xit from the Conf iguration Uti lity .

This discon nect option frees the SCSI Bus to allow other I/O proc esses. This opti on tells the host adapter whethe r or not to a llow a devic e to disc onnect.
