Who Is the W arrantor The warrantor for these limited war- ranties is Lexus, a division of T oy ota Motor Sales, U .S.A., Inc., 1 9001 South W estern A venue, T orrance, California 90509- 2991, a California corpora- tion.
Y o u r Wa r r a n t i e s i n D e t a i l 1 7 Limitations The per formance of necessary repairs and adjustments is the exclu- sive remedy under these warranties or any implied warranties. Lexus does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with this vehicle.
Basic W arranty This warranty covers repairs and adjustments needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any part supplied by Lexus, subject to the exceptions indicated under “What Is Not Cov ered” on pages 1 9–20.
Corrosion P er foration W arranty This warranty covers repair or replacement of any original body panel that develops perforation from corrosion (rust-thr ough), subject to the exceptions indicated under “What Is Not Cover ed” on pages 1 9–20. Cov erage is for 72 months, regard- less of mileage.
This warranty also does not cover the following: T ires T ires are cover ed by a separate war- r anty provided by the tire manufac - turer . See page 3 4. Normal W ear and T ear Noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused by normal wear and tear .
If a dispute arises regarding your warranty cov erage, please follow the steps described on pages 9–10. Please note that you must use the National Center for Dispu te Settlement before seeking remedies through a cour t action pursuant to the Magnuson-Moss W arranty Act.
Emission Defect W arr anty Lexus warrants that your vehicle: • W as designed, built and equipped to conform at the time of sale with applicable federal emissions standards. • Is free from defects in materials and workmanship that may cause the vehicle to fail to meet these standards.
These warranty obligations do not apply to failures or noncompliance caused by: • The use of replacement parts not cer tified in accordance with aftermarket parts cer tification regulations. • The use of replacement parts not equivalent in quality or design to original equipment parts.

Y ou are responsible for per formance of the required maintenance indicated in the O wner ’ s Manual and this guide. Lexus will not deny a warranty claim solely because you do not have recor ds to show that you maintained your vehicle. Howe ver , any failure or noncompliance caused by lack of maintenance is not cov ered by this warranty .
If your vehicle fails an EP A-appro ved emissions test, you may make a claim under the Emission P er formance W arranty . T o do so, take your vehicle to an authorized Lexus dealership and present a copy of the emissions test report. Also, take your maintenance recor ds in case they are needed.
W e (the dealership) want you to know that at the time your new Lexus vehi- cle is being deliver ed: 1) On the basis of written notification furnished by Lexus, we have knowl- edge that the vehicle is covered by an EP A Certificate of Conformity .
The California Air Resour ces Board (CARB) and Lexus are pleased to explain the emission control system warranty for your 20 1 3 vehicle. In California, new motor vehicles must be designed, built and equipped to meet the state’ s stringent anti-smog standards.
1) For three years or 50 , 000 miles, whichev er occurs first: • If your vehicle fails a smog-check test, all necessar y repairs and adjustments will be made by Lexus to ensure that your vehicle passes the test. This is your Emission Control System PERF ORMANC E W ARRANTY .

T o ensure optimum per formance and maintain the quality built into your vehicle’ s emission control sys- tems, Lexus recommends the use of Genuine Lexus P arts when ser vicing or repairing the systems.
If a Lexus dealership is unable to complete repairs on your vehicle within 30 days, you may have the repairs made under Lexus’ provisions for emergency warranty repairs. See page 37 for details. If you have questions or concerns about your vehicle’ s California emis- sion warranty cover age, please follow the steps described on pages 9–10.
The tires that come as original equip- ment on your vehicle are warranted by their manufacturer and not Lexus. Please refer to the tire warranty state- ment included with the owner infor- mation in your vehicle. T o obtain warranty ser vice for a tire, tak e the tire to an authorized dealer of the tire manufacturer .
Y ou are responsible for ensuring that your Lexus is operated and main- tained according to the instructions in the O wner ’ s Manual and the “Maintenance Information” section of this guide. Y ou should keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, since under some circumstances they may be requir ed for warranty coverage.
W arranty coverage is not dependent upon the use of any par ticular brand of replacement par ts. How ever , Lexus recommends using only Genuine Lexus P ar ts when you need to replace a par t on your vehicle. Like all Lexus products, Genuine Lexus P arts are built to the highest standards of quali- ty , durability and per formance.
