1 Learning about the All-In-One Setting up the All-In-One If y ou ha ve no t already done so , f ollow the step s on the Setu p Sheet to complete the hardware an d software insta llation. If pr oblems occur du ring the setup process , see “Setup tr oublesh ooting” on page 20.
2 Using the contr ol panel The All-In-On e has a control panel tha t let s you sca n and cop y with the press of a button. Note: Both the comput er and the All-In-One must be turned on to mak e copies. USB cab le P ower supply Silver , metal contacts are on the left side of the power supply .

6 Using Print Pr oper ties Print Proper ties is the software that controls the All-In-On e pr inting function. Y ou can change the sett ings in Pr int Proper ties based on t he type of project y ou want to creat e . Y ou can open Print Proper t ies from almo st an y progr am: 1 F rom the program File menu, click Print .
7 Print Pr oper ties tabs All of the print settings are on t he three main tabs of the Print Proper ties softw are: Quality/ Copies, P aper Setup , and Print La yout. Printing The Print Proper ties I W ant T o menu (see page 6) prov ides you with printing wizards to help you complete tasks such as pr inting banners, photographs, or posters.
11 2 Squeez e and slide t he paper guide to the left edge of the paper . 3 Mak e sure the All-In-One is turned on. 4 Click File Print . 5 In the Print dialog bo x, clic k the Pr oper ties , Preferen ces , Options , or Setup b utton (depend ing on the prog ram).
12 8 F rom the P aper Setup tab , select th e pa per type, pap er size , and orientation. T o see details about a setting, right-clic k a setting on the screen, and then select the What’ s This? item. 9 F rom the Print La yout t ab , select the la yout and duple xing settings f or the type of document y ou are printing.
13 Scanning The f ollowing steps sho w yo u how to scan and sa ve images . 1 Open the top co v er of the All-In-One . 2 Place the it em y ou want t o scan f ace down on the glass . Mak e sure the upper l ef t cor ner of the front of the item aligns with the arro w .
14 F rom the Send scanned ima ge t o: drop-do wn menu, select a progr am to send the scann ed image to , or clic k t he Crea ti ve T asks section to displa y a list of projects . 9 If y ou are sending the scan ned image to a soft ware pro gram, clic k Scan No w to complete the scan.

17 Maintenance Replacing the print car tridg es The Le xmar k X1100 Series has been desig ned to print using the f ollowing car tr idges . Note: Y ou can print using only the color car tridge, or with bo th a color car tridge and a bl ack car tridge. F or info r mation about ordering supplies , see page 8.
18 6 Inser t the ne w car tridge . Make sure th e color print car tridge is secure in the left carr ier an d then snap the lid closed . If y ou are installing a b lack print car tr idge, mak e sure that it is secure in th e r ight carrier , and then snap the lid closed.
