Overview Scan to SharePoint l ets you se curely scan docume nts to sites hous ed on S harePoin t serv ers. Sav ed in Sh arePoint sites , it also a llows sit e naviga tion and folder creati on from the scanne r and p rinting of docum ents fr om the pr inter.
Configuring Scan to SharePoint Accessing application config uration settings using the Embedd ed Web Serv er 1 Obtain the sc anner IP a ddress: • From the scanner h ome screen • From th e TCP/IP s.
Configuring user authentication settings 1 Access the appli cation c onfigura tion set tings fr om the Em bedded We b Server . 2 From the Configur e page, add or edit a profile, and then customize t he user authentication options. • Authen tication Type —Select how users will be authentica ted again st the SharePo int server.
• Incl ude User Name In Fi le Nam e —Select the check box to a utomatically add th e user name at the beginni ng of the file name when saving the scan job. • Timesta mp form at —Se lect th e form at of t he time stamp to be a dded to the f ile name.
• Scan Reso lution —Adjust the defau lt qualit y of the s canned document . If user s will be sc anning photogr aphs, drawings with f ine lines , or docum ents wit h very sm all tex t, then incr ease the resolut ion sett ing. Hig her resolutio n settings result in larg er file sizes and l onger time n eeded to scan the orig inal doc ument.
Customizing the display icon 1 Access the appli cation c onfigura tion set tings fr om the Em bedded We b Server . 2 From th e Confi gure page , add or ed it a prof ile, and the n change the set tings if necess ary: • But ton Te xt or Te xt —T ype up to 20 charac ters that will appea r above the prof ile butt on on the scanne r home screen.
Configuring PKI Authentication Note: If you plan to attach a SmartCard r eader to your s canner, then install and config ure PKI ( public ke y infras tructu re ) applic ations to the devices. M AKE SUR E SCANNER AUTHENTICATION IS CONFIGU RED If the application is configured to use scanner authentication credentials, then th e scanner authentication settings must be c onfigu red from the Embedd ed We b Server.
