4 ABOUT WWVB The NIST (National Institu te of Standards an d Technology—Time and Frequency Division) radio sta tion, WWVB, is located in Ft. Collins, Colorado and transmits the ex act time signal continuously throughout th e United States at 60 kHz.
5 QUICK SET-UP GUIDE Hint: Use good quality Al kaline Batteries and avo id rechargeable batteries. 1. Have the indoor weather station and remote thermo/hy gro sensor 3 t o 5 apart . 2. Batteries shoul d be out of both unit s fo r 1 0 m inutes. 3. Place the batteries into the re mote thermo/hygro sensor first then into the indoor w eather station.
6 To complete the set up of your indoor weather station after the 10 m inutes have passed please fol low the steps in the Detailed Set Up Guide . Note: The remote thermo/hygro sensor transmits a signal ev ery 3 minutes; after the bat t eri es ha ve b een installed, the indoor weather station will search for the signal for a duration of 5 minutes.
7 DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE BATTERY INSTALLATION A. Remote Ther mo/hygro Sensor 1. Pull the cylindrical rain cover off the remote thermo/hygro sensor. 2. Remove the battery cove r (located o n the backside of the remote thermo/hygro sensor, abov e the mounting post and brac ket).

Press and hold the “SET” button (on the back of the clock) for 2 seconds or until “12h” or “24h ” flashes.

Weather Tendency Arrows Other possible displays in t he TENDENCY LCD are 2 weather tendency arrows, one that points up and one that points down.
16 III. Outdoor Temperature and Humidity The outdoor temperature a nd humidity is viewed in the OUTDOOR L CD. When the re is more than one remote senso r unit in operation a “box ed” number will appear to the right of the temperature. This indicates which re m ote sensor unit (1, 2, or 3) is currently displaying its data in the OUTDOOR LCD.
17 V. Adding Additional Re mote Sensors (Optional) The WS-7391U is able to recei ve signals from 3 dif ferent remote sensors. These extra remote sensors can be purchased thr ough the same dealer as thi s unit.
18 VII. Viewing and Operating wi th Multiple Remote Sensors 1. To view the t emperature of a different rem ote sensor press and release the “CHANNEL” button . A s hif t from one “ boxed” num ber to the next shoul d be observed in t he OUTDOOR LCD.
19 VIII. Mounting Note: Before permanently moun ting ensure that the indoor weather station is able to receive WWVB signals from the desired locat ion. Also, extreme and sudden changes in temperatu re will decrease the accuracy o f the indoor weather station.
20 5. Remove screws from the mounting surface. 6. Align the mounting bracket with th e started screw holes. 7. Screw mounting brac ket onto the mounting surface. The screws should be flus h with the bracket. 8. Fit the m ounting p ost (on the back of the re mote thermo/hygro sensor) int o the receptor of the m ounting bracket.
