3 RANGE SAFETY The Ant i-T ip Brac ket The range w ill not tip during n ormal use. H owever , the range can tip if you apply too much force or weight to the open door wit ho ut the anti-tip bracket fastened down properly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Cookt op Cont rols The cookto p controls can be set anyw here betw een HI and LO . Push in and tur n to setting. Use the following chart as a guide when setting heat levels. POWER ON Lights Each contr ol kn ob has a POWER ON light. The ligh t will glow when it s control knob i s on.
8 Ceramic Glass The surfa ce cooking ar ea w ill glow r ed when an element is on. It will cycle on and off, at all settings, to maintain the selected heat level. It is normal for the surface of white ceramic glass to appear to change color when surface coo king areas ar e hot.
9 Cookware IMPOR T ANT : Never leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking ar ea, e lement or surface burner . Ideal cookwar e should have a flat bottom, straight sides, a well- fitting lid and t he material should be of medium-to-heavy thickness. Rough finishes may scratch the cooktop.
10 Elec tronic Cont rol Pads When pressing any contr ol pad function on the El ectr onic Oven Control, use the pad of yo ur index finger to press the desir ed function. Hold down the pad a few seconds, or until the desired function appears in t he display .
11 Fahrenheit and Cels ius T o Set Oven to Cook in Celsius: 1. Open the o ven door . 2. Press C ANCEL OFF . 3. Press number pads 1, 2 and 3, in that or der .
12 Alumi num Foil IMPOR T ANT : Do not line the oven bottom with any type of foil, liners or cookwar e because permanent damage will occur to the oven bottom finish. ■ Do not cover entire rack with foil because air must be able to move freely for best cooking results.
13 Bakeware The bakewar e mate rial affects cooking results. Fo llow manufactur er ’ s reco mmendations and use the bakewar e size reco mmended in the r ecipe. U se the follow ing chart as a guide. Meat Th ermome ter On models without a temperatur e probe, always re ly on a meat thermometer to determine doneness of meat and poultry .
14 T o Bake or Roast: Be fo re b ak i ng an d ro a st in g, position racks accor ding to the “ Positioning Racks and Bakewar e ” section. When roasting, it is not necessary to w ait for th e oven to preheat before putt ing food in, unless recommended in the recipe.
15 BROILING CHART For best results, place food 3 in. (7 cm) or more fr om the broil element. Times ar e guidelines only an d may need to be adjusted for individual tastes. Recommende d rack positions are number ed from the bottom (1) to the top (5). For diagram, see th e “ Positioning Racks and Bakewar e ” section.
16 Convection Roast (on some mod els) Convection r oasting can be used for roasting m eats and poultry , or for bak ing yeast br eads and loaf cakes using a single r ack. During convection roasting, the bake and broil elements w ill cycle on and off in intervals to mainta in oven temperature, wh ile the fan constantly circulat es the hot air .
17 Convection Broil (on some mod els) During convection broiling , the broil elements will cycle on and off in intervals to maintain oven temp erature, while the fan constantl y circulates the h ot air . The temperature is preset at 450 ° F (23 2 ° C), but can be changed to a differ ent temperatur e.
18 To U s e : Befor e using Convect Full Meal, place food in oven. If temperature probe is r equir ed, insert pro be into food and plug pr obe into jack. See “ T emperature Pr obe ” section for diagram . 1. Pr ess CONV ECT FULL MEAL. 2. Press pa d from c hart.
19 2. Open the o ven door . 3. Press BAKE. 4. Press the number pads to enter a temperatur e other than 350 ° F (177 ° C ). The bake range can be set between 170 ° F and 500 ° F (77 ° C a nd 260 ° C). 5. Press ST ART . 6. Press a nd hold number pad 6 for 5 seco nds.
20 T emperature Prob e (on some mod els) The temperature probe accurately measur es the inter nal temperatur e of meat, po ultry and casser oles with liquid and should be used in determining the doneness of meat and poultry . It should n ot be used during m axi and eco no broiling, convecti on broiling, dehydrating or proofing bread.
21 4. Press ST ART . On some mode ls, the start time, stop time , vertical bar countdown and minute time countdown will appear on th e oven displ ay . When the stop time is r eached, the oven will shut of f automatically and “ End ” will appear on the oven display .
22 Prepare Cooktop and Storage Drawer: ■ Remove plastic items from the cooktop because they may melt. ■ Remove all items from the storage dr awer . How the Cy cle W orks IMPOR T ANT : The heating an d cooling of porcelain on steel in the oven may result in dis coloring, loss o f gloss, hairline cr acks and popping sounds.
23 CERAMIC GLAS S (on some models) Do not use steel wool, abr asive powder cleansers, chlorine bleach, rust remove r or ammonia becau se damage may occur . Always wipe with a clean, wet cloth or sponge and dry thoroughly to prevent stre aking and staining.
24 Surface an d Night Light (on some mod els) SURF ACE LIGHT The cooktop ligh t is a 20-watt cool-white fluorescen t tube, and has 2 r eplaceable parts. The starter is a knob-shaped part located on the right side of the backg uard, under the light bulb.
25 Oven Light(s) The oven light(s) is a 40-watt appli ance bulb. The light(s) will come on when the oven doo r is opened. The light(s) will not work durin g the Self-Cleaning cycle. Wh en the oven door is c losed, press OVEN LI GHT to tur n the light (s) on or o ff.
