E-5 • Lamp implosion •A DC type Super High pressure lamp is used in this projector and it is rare f or the lamp to explode during use. The unit is also designed to forcib ly tur n off the lamp because there is a high possibility that the lamp will break if it is used bey ond the lamp usage of 2000 hours (Refer to pages E-41 and E-42).

E-13 A Check of the Supplied Items and the Names of the Parts Operation of the Remote Control • Please use the remote control within a range of about 7 m from the remote control IR sensor of the projector (located at both the front and rear) and within an angle of 10 degrees to the left and 10 degrees to the right.

E-20 Connections with V ideo Equipment The video of a video tape deck or D VD player is pr ojected onto a large screen. NO TE: • When both Video and S-video connections hav e been made, S-video will be given priority for displa y . • When a video signal hav e a lot of noise, the image may be displa yed in monochrome .

E-24 Still Image Displa y Regular Operation This operation freez es the currently projected image. Operation with the Projector Press the FREEZE/CAPTURE button. Operation with the Remote Control Press the FREEZE/CAPTURE button. Cancelling the Still Image Displa y Operation with the Projector Press the FREEZE OFF button.
E-25 Changing the Orientation of the Pr ojection Image Effectiv e Only with OHP Input This operation s witches the (ver tical/horizontal) orientation of the currently projected image. The displa y of the switched screen is adjusted to match the width.
E-26 Capturing the Pr ojection Image A press of the FREEZE/CAPTURE button captures the currently projected OHP image and sa ves it as one or more images.
E-27 Enlarging and Reducing the Pr ojection Image This operation enlarges or reduces the siz e of projected image. During OHP input, adjustment from the same size to 6.25 times (length ratio 2.5 times) is permitted, while during PC or VIDEO input, adjustment from the same size to 16 times (length r atio 4 times) is per mitted.

E-29 Method of OHP Operation The maximum reading siz e of documents and pr inted material is 216 mm high by 288 mm wide. Consequently , when A4 paper (210 mm high and 297.5 mm wide) is placed on the projector , reading will be as illustrated in the diagr am below (which depicts the area that can be projected as the por tion with diagonal lines).

E-41 Replacement of the Lamp Unit Guidelines for the replacement of the pr ojection lamp used in this projector are described belo w. (The time may be shorter depending on usage conditions.) When the usage time exceeds the time described belo w, the likelihood of rupture increases, the pr ojector will be for ced to turn off the projection lamp.
