11 REMOTE PROGRAMMING Setting the CA TV or Satellite receiver Y ou can program your remote to operate your cable box, satellite receiver by using the instructions and codes listed below . If the equipment does not respond to any of the codes listed below or to the search code function, use the remote control supplied by the manufacturer .
12 UHF/ VHF If you are using outdoor antenna (outdoor antenna not included), follow the instructions below that correspond to your antenna system. If you are using a cable TV service (CA TV), see page 13 for Cable TV connections.
13 This TV/VCR has an extended tuning range and can tune most cable channels without using a Cable TV converter box. Some cable companies offer “ premium pay channels ” in which the signal is scrambled. Descrambling these signals for normal viewing requires the use of a descrambler device which is generally provided by the cable company .

15 3 AUTO CLOCK SETTING 1 The Auto Clock feature enables the automatic clock setting and updating, and also to set the T ime Zone and Daylight Saving T ime by receiving XDS (Extended Data Service) information carried on the channel signal. 21 T ext: The T ext Closed Caption Mode will usually fill the screen with a programming schedule or other information. After selecting a Closed Caption Mode, it will stay in effect until it is changed, even if the channel is changed.
